Weak associativity and deformation quantization
Non-commutativity and non-associativity are quite natural in string theory. For open strings it appears due to the presence of non-vanishing background two-form in the world volume of Dirichlet brane, while in closed string theory the flux ...

Geometrical evaluation of star products [PDF]
The geometric picture of the star product based on its Fourier representation kernel is utilized in the evaluation of chains of star products and the intuitive appreciation of their associativity and symmetries. Such constructions appear even simpler for a variant asymmetric product, and carry through for the standard star-product supersymmetrization.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Dynamical noncommutativity and Noether theorem in twisted phi^*4 theory
A \star-product is defined via a set of commuting vector fields X_a = e_a^\mu (x) \partial_\mu, and used in a phi^*4 theory coupled to the e_a^\mu (x) fields.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Deformation quantization on the cotangent bundle of a Lie group
We develop a complete theory of non-formal deformation quantization on the cotangent bundle of a weakly exponential Lie group. An appropriate integral formula for the star-product is introduced together with a suitable space of functions on which the ...

HEAVY FLAVOR PRODUCTION IN STAR [PDF]
In this contribution, the STAR collaboration at RHIC reports on measurements related to heavy flavor production. We present results from D meson production, and from indirect reconstruction of heavy flavor via semi-leptonic decays, including low transverse momentum muons and the inclusive yield of non-photonic electrons.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

NC Wilson lines and the inverse Seiberg-Witten map for nondegenerate star products
Open Wilson lines are known to be the observables of noncommutative gauge theory with Moyal-Weyl star product. We generalize these objects to more general star products.
