Magnetic Fields of F-Type Stars [PDF]
Magnetic fields are an observable feature of many stars, with warm, F-type stars of interest in searching for the transition from the fossil fields in hot stars to dynamos in cool stars driven by convection zones.

Convective Penetration in Early-type Stars
Abstract Observations indicate that the convective cores of stars must ingest a substantial amount of material from the overlying radiative zone, but the extent of this mixing and the mechanism that causes it remain uncertain. Recently, Anders et al.

Spectrophotometry of early type stars [PDF]
A photoelectric spectrum scanner attached to the 16-inch telescope of the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory was used to determine the relative spectral intensity distribution for early type stars. Observations on a minimun of three nights per star have been obtained for about two hundred stars. The tracings extend from 3100 Å to 6000 Å. They were

The magnetic fields, activity and hidden companions of solar-type stars [PDF]
The magnetic fields of the Sun and other solar-type stars manifest in a range of observable surface phenomena that provide insight into the magnetic dynamos operating within, but also hamper the detection of exoplanets.

Three new brown dwarfs and a massive hot Jupiter revealed by TESS around early-type stars [PDF]
Context. The detection and characterization of exoplanets and brown dwarfs around massive AF-type stars is essential to investigate and constrain the impact of stellar mass on planet properties.

Away from the young disk, several classes of early type stars are found. They include (i) the old, metal-poor blue horizontal branch stars of the halo and the metal-poor tail of the thick disk; (ii) metal-rich young A stars in a rapidly rotating subsystem but with a much higher velocity dispersion than the A stars of the young disk, and (iii) a newly ...

A revisit to agglomerates of early‐type Hipparcos stars [PDF]
AbstractWe study the spatial structure and sub‐structure of regions rich in Hipparcos stars with blue BT – VT colours. These regions, which comprise large stellar complexes, OB associations, and young open clusters, are tracers of on‐going star formation in the Galaxy.

A magnetic snapshot survey of F-type stars [PDF]
International audienceWe present a spectropolarimetric magnetic snapshot survey of 55 stars which includes 53 F-type stars ranging from spectral types F0 to F9 plus 2 chemically peculiar stars β CrB, and δ Cap.

STAR FORMATION BIMODALITY IN EARLY-TYPE GALAXIES [PDF]
We compute the properties of a sample of 221 local early-type galaxies with a spectral energy distribution (SED) modeling software, CIGALEMC. Concentrating on the star forming activity and dust contents, we derive parameters such as the specific star formation rate, the dust luminosity, dust mass and temperature.
