In this study we develop a multi-factor extension of the family of Lee-Carter stochastic mortality models. We build upon the time, period and cohort stochastic model structure to extend it to include exogenous observable demographic features that can be ...

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Impact of Short-Circuit Ratio on Control Parameter Settings of DFIG Wind Turbines
This work deals with doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) modeling and stability when connected to weak AC grids. A detailed state-space model that includes the phase-locked loop (PLL) is developed.

In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

AMSRDet: An Adaptive Multi-Scale UAV Infrared-Visible Remote Sensing Vehicle Detection Network
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platforms enable flexible and cost-effective vehicle detection for intelligent transportation systems, yet small-scale vehicles in complex aerial scenes pose substantial challenges from extreme scale variations ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Bootstrap prediction intervals in State Space models [PDF]
Prediction intervals in State Space models can be obtained by assuming Gaussian innovations and using the prediction equations of the Kalman filter, where the true parameters are substituted by consistent estimates.

Parameter estimation in sparse state-space models [PDF]
State-space models are a flexible framework for modelling sequential data in the presence of noise or incomplete observations, within which we model a system via a hidden state process and a related observation process.
