Optimal Gain Selection for the Arbitrary‐Order Homogeneous Differentiator

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Differentiation of noisy signals is a relevant and challenging task. Widespread approaches are the linear high‐gain observer acting as a differentiator and Levant's robust exact differentiator with a discontinuous right‐hand side. We consider the family of arbitrary‐order homogeneous differentiators, which includes these special cases.

An approximation method for the stabilizing solution of the Hamilton-Jacobi equation for integrable systems using Hamiltonian perturbation theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this report, a method for approximating the stabilizing solution of the Hamilton-Jacobi equation for integrable systems is proposed using symplectic geometry and a Hamiltonian perturbation technique.

Discrete Implementations Modify the Intuition of Final Set Adjustment in Barrier Function Based Control

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper establishes an implementation‐aware framework for Barrier Function Adaptation (BFA) and shows that discrete‐time realizations fundamentally alter the logic of final‐set adjustment. In particular, sufficient conditions are derived to preserve the key benefits of BFA (predefined performance, gain adaptation with uncertain perturbation

Acceleration of Oscillational Iterative Process to Solve the Riccati Equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
P(論文)Several methods to solve the Riccati equation are proposed for the optimal regulator problem in modern control theory. In some cases, a solution of the Riccati equation is reached through iterative calculation.

Optimal Control of a Flexible Spacecraft in a Proximity Operation Using State Dependent Riccati Equation Approach [PDF]

open access: yesفصلنامه علوم و فناوری فضایی, 2015
This paper presents a suitable technique for nonlinear control of a flexible spacecraft in proximity operations. To do proximity operations well, the pursuer spacecraft must place itself in a pre specified location relative to target and align its ...

Optimal Finite Cancer Treatment Duration by Using Mixed Vaccine Therapy and Chemotherapy: State Dependent Riccati Equation Control

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
The main objective of this paper is to propose an optimal finite duration treatment method for cancer. A mathematical model is proposed to show the interactions between healthy and cancerous cells in the human body.

Gradient‐ and Newton‐Based Unit Vector Extremum Seeking Control

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper proposes new methods for stable and efficient convergence in multivariable extremum seeking control (ESC) using sliding mode techniques. Inspired by classical sliding modes and finite‐time control, the approach integrates these ideas into gradient‐ and Newton‐based ESC schemes with sinusoidal perturbations.

Optimization of Trajectory Tracking Control in Task Space for Dual-arm Space Robot

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2020
For trajectory tracking control of a dual-arm space robot with uncontrolled base position and controlled base attitude in task space, an optimal control method based on state dependent Riccati equation (SDRE) is proposed. Firstly, based on the kinematics

Discrete-Time Indefinite Stochastic LQ Control via SDP and LMI Methods

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
This paper studies a discrete-time stochastic LQ problem over an infinite time horizon with state-and control-dependent noises, whereas the weighting matrices in the cost function are allowed to be indefinite.

The role of identification in data‐driven policy iteration: A system theoretic study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
Abstract The goal of this article is to study fundamental mechanisms behind so‐called indirect and direct data‐driven control for unknown systems. Specifically, we consider policy iteration applied to the linear quadratic regulator problem. Two iterative procedures, where data collected from the system are repeatedly used to compute new estimates of ...
