The Lithium-ion batteries (LiBs) are the core component of the all-climate electric vehicles. The aging state recognition is carried out based on the proposed electrochemical model (EM) instead of the traditional equivalent circuit model (ECM) and black ...

Testing finite-state machines: state identification and verification
IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1994We study the complexity of two fundamental problems in the testing of finite-state machines. 1) Distinguishing sequences (state identification). We show that it is PSPACE-complete to determine whether a finite-state machine has a preset distinguishing sequence. There are machines that have distinguishing sequences, but only of exponential length.

In this chapter, we deal with the problem of state identification of finite-state Mealy machines. Before defining the problem formally, let us illustrate it with a few examples and point out its differences with the similar problem of finding a homing sequence.

Multi‐label feature selection with application to TCM state identification
Concurrency and Computation, 2018The goal of TCM state identification is to identify the patient's syndromes and locations and natures of diseases according to symptoms. Generally, symptoms of a patient are associated with several syndromes and multiple locations and natures of diseases;

Optimum inputs for state identification
Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 1985The problem of choosing optimum inputs for identifying the state of a linear system with nonlinear observations is discussed. An optimum input is defined and characterized. A suboptimum input is introduced to facilitate the analysis and computation. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the technique.

State-Identification Problems for Finite-State Transducers
2006A well-established theory exists for testing finite-state machines, in particular Moore and Mealy machines. A fundamental class of problems handled by this theory is state identification: we are given a machine with known state space and transition relation but unknown initial state, and we are asked to find experiments which permit to identify the ...

System State Identification Using DEVS
Discrete-Event Modeling and Simulation, 2018In this paper, we propose an approach for system state identification using the DEVS formalism. In other words, extensions to timed models of classical methods developed in the field of sequential machines are defined.

System Identification Methods for Identification of State Models
2015System Identification (SI) is a methodology for building mathematical models of dynamic systems from experimental data, i.e., using measurements of the system input/output (IO) signals to estimate the values of adjustable parameters in a given model structure. The process of SI requires some steps, such as measurement of the IO signals of the system in

System identification via state characterization
Automatica, 1972Arbib and Zeiger's generalization of Ho's algorithm for system identification is presented from an alternative viewpoint called ''state characterization''. This is an essentially nonlinear, nonparametric method for designing experiments which will directly determine a state space representation for an unknown black box. This method assumes (1) a finite
