Activating Triplet Excitons in COFs via Layer‐Bridging Co Single Atoms for Photocatalytic H2O2 Production and Tandem C─N Coupling

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a layer‐bridging coordination strategy of Co single atoms in COFs that promotes the formation and utilization of triplet excited states. The introduction of Co single atoms induces pronounced energy‐level splitting and enhanced spin–orbit coupling, facilitating the generation of 1O2 and O2•– for efficient photocatalytic H2O2 ...

Machine‐Learning‐Guided Discovery of Boron‐Free Narrowband Blue Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence Emitters

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A data‐driven discovery engine—exhaustive enumeration of carbazole‐containing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (Cz‐PAHs) followed by machine learning—identifies boron‐free, narrowband blue thermally activated delayed fluorescence emitters for organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Caging Polyhalide Anions in Polycyclodextrin for Long‐Lasting Aqueous Zinc‐Iodine Batteries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We demonstrated poly(β‐cyclodextrin) gel as an ideal host material that effectively contains and releases polyhalide anions in aqueous zinc‐iodine batteries. Such a unique host‐guest chemistry prevents the shuttle effect of polyhalides. The corresponding batteries can operate via both 2e and 4e storage, attaining 60,000 cycles with more than 99% and 85%

Reinforcing Particle Architectural Stability of Li‐Rich Cathode With Enhanced Anionic Redox Reaction Reversibility

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
In this work, we establish a direct correlation between internal compactness and particle architectural stability, identifying it as a key descriptor of cathode structural integrity. Simultaneously, the capacity contribution and compensation mechanism of ARR are resolved, revealing that the extent of irreversible capacity loss is governed by both the ...

Spatially Coupled Cl2 Confinement and Activation at Curved Ni Single‐Atom Sites for Highly Reversible Li–Cl2 Batteries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A robust cathode featuring curvature‐engineered Ni single‐atoms anchored within hierarchical pores effectively confines Cl2 and accelerates Cl0/Cl−1 redox kinetics. This synergistic architecture unlocks the potential of Li‐Cl2 secondary batteries with an unprecedented 1×106 mAh g−1 cumulative capacity, all‐climate resilience (–40°C to + 70°C), and 7.65
