Analytic and Synthetic Propositions: I. Kant’s Criticisms and N.O. Lossky's Intuitionism

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Philosophy
The subject of the study is the development of epistemological and logical doctrine by outstanding Russian philosopher Nikolay Onufriyevich Lossky in connection with the influence of Immanuel Kant’s philosophy on him.

Lacan and Badiou: logic of the pas-tout

open access: yes, 2005
The fact that statements about "nothing" are, or are always equivalent to, a universal statement raises the question of a non-universalizable, non-completable nothing. Lacan’s pas-tout is an attempt to logically capture this incompleteness that can never

Logics of Statements in Context—First-Order Logic Files

open access: yesLogics
Logics of Statements in Context have been proposed as a general framework to describe and relate, in a uniform and unifying way, a broad spectrum of logics and specification formalisms, which also comprise “open formulas”. In particular, it has been shown that we can define arbitrary first-order “open formulas” in arbitrary categories.

Nanobody‐Conjugated Theranostic Prodrug Targeting αvβ3 Integrin Enables Precision Cancer Therapy With Real‐Time Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The image shows a schematic form a nanobody‐conjugated theranostic prodrug (NBD) platform targeting tumor‐associated αvβ3 integrin. The NBD system integrates selective nanobody‐mediated tumor recognition, glutathione‐responsive disulfide cleavage for doxorubicin release, and aza‐BODIPY‐based near‐infrared fluorescence for real‐time imaging.

Respiratory Organ‐on‐a‐Chip for Disease Modeling: From Architecture to Functional Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Respiratory organ‐on‐a‐chip (ROC) models capture key mechanical and cellular cues of the human respiratory system, enabling quantitative dissection of disease mechanisms. This review links ROC architectures to disease modeling, functional integration, and commercialization, and proposes a decision framework that aligns model complexity with mechanistic

Strongly transitive fuzzy relations: A more adequate way to describe similarity [PDF]

open access: yes
The notion of a transitive closure of a fuzzy relation is very useful for clustering in pattern recognition, for fuzzy databases, etc. It is based on translating the standard definition of transitivity and transitive closure into fuzzy terms.

Recapitulating Endochondral Ossification for Bone Repair: From Development to Engineering Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the developmental basis of endochondral ossification (ECO) and its applications in bone tissue engineering (BTE). It first outlines the key biological processes and signaling pathways underlying ECO, then discusses biomaterial‐based engineering strategies derived from these principles, and finally highlights future directions for

Directional Flow of Confined Polaritons in CrSBr

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
CrSBr, a layered magnetic semiconductor, naturally channels self‐hybridized excitonpolaritons into highly directional flow. Its intrinsic optical anisotropy, high refractive index, and strong lightmatter coupling enable long‐range guided modes along the a‐axis, with propagation lengths set by their excitonphoton admixture.

An Historical Approximation to the Concept of Logic: Preliminary Results about a Research Project that Promotes the Aesthetic Experience among Preservice Math and Literature Teachers

open access: yesIkala: Revista de Lenguaje y Cultura, 2015
The text shows a historical approach to the concept of logic in relation with mathematics. Therefore it exposes the contributions of ancient and medieval logic, and problematizes the approaches of logicism and intuitionism with the idea of providing ...

Atomistic Mechanisms Triggered by Joule Heating Effects in Metallic Cu‐Bi Nanowires for Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bi doped metallic Cu nanowires are promising for spintronics thanks to the stabilization of a giant spin Hall effect. However, heat resulting from current injection forces Bi to leave solution, forcing segregation into monoatomic decorations which evolve into coherent crystalline aggregates.
