The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Comparative study of balance on deaf and hearing children [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Visual display and alarm system for wind tunnel static and dynamic loads [PDF]

open access: yes
A wind tunnel balance monitor and alarm system developed at NASA Ames Research Center will produce several beneficial results. The costs of wind tunnel delays because of inadvertent balance damage and the costs of balance repair or replacement can be ...

Plane symmetric solutions in Horava-Lifshitz theory

open access: yes, 2010
The purpose of this paper is to find and analyze plane symmetric, static(non static) solutions in Ho\v{r}ava- Lifshitz gravity. We discussed two versions of Horava gravity. First we showed that if the detailed balance principle have considered, there are

Applying Monte Carlo configuration interaction to transition metal dimers: exploring the balance between static and dynamic correlation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We calculate potential curves for transition metal dimers using Monte Carlo configuration interaction (MCCI). These results, and their associated spectroscopic values, are compared with experimental and computational studies. The multireference nature of

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...
