Inverse Static Analysis of a Planar System With Flexural Pivots
Journal of Mechanical Design, 2000This article presents the inverse static analysis of a two degrees of freedom planar mechanism with flexural pivots. Such analysis aims to detect the entire set of equilibrium configurations of the system once the external load is assigned. The presence of flexural pivots represents a novelty, although it remarkably complicates the problem since it ...

Static and Dynamic Analysis of Flexure-based Compliant Mechanism by Matrix Displacement Method
2019 IEEE 5th International Conference on Mechatronics System and Robots (ICMSR), 2019This paper proposed a novel analytical modeling method for the static and dynamic analysis for the flexure-based compliant mechanisms based on the matrix displacement method.

Static–Dynamic Relationship for Flexural Free Vibration of Extensible Beams
International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics, 2018This technical note presents a static–dynamic relationship for the flexural free vibration analysis of beams in tension with some specific boundary conditions. It is shown to be possible that a free vibration system can be solved via a static analysis approach to determine the natural frequencies of the beam with tension forces.

Flexural behaviour of selected riparian plants under static load
Ecological Engineering, 2012Abstract Soil bioengineering techniques use plants as construction material for civil and hydraulic engineering purposes such as reinforcement of slopes and erosion control of embankments. The interactions of plants and stress from natural processes have to be quantified to assess such soil bioengineering systems from an engineering point of view ...

On the flexural vibration frequencies of statically loaded beams
Meccanica, 1972The problem of vibrations of structures with heavy static loads is a non linear one, and, as such, of difficult solution in its general formulation.

Static Flexural Performance of GFRP-Polymer Concrete Hybrid Beams
Key Engineering Materials, 2002In this paper it is reported a research undertaken in hybrid beams, where GFRP pultruded profiles are assembled, in an innovative way, with a layer of polymer concrete. The various beams were designed considering a pultrusion profile that will work in tension, and a polymer concrete filling that will work mainly in compression, in order to take benefit

Static and Dynamic Flexural Strength Anisotropy of Barre Granite
Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering, 2013Granite exhibits anisotropy due to pre-existing microcracks under tectonic loadings; and the mechanical property anisotropy such as flexural/tensile strength is vital to many rock engineering applications. In this paper, Barre Granite is studied to understand the flexural strength anisotropy under a wide range of loading rates using newly proposed semi-

Design and analysis of a triangular bi-axial flexure hinge
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science, 2023To achieve the requirement of flexure hinges for specific optical precision equipment, a new triangular bi-axial flexure hinge is proposed. The analysis model for the flexibility of the triangular bi-axial flexure hinges is derived.
