On the Lightweight Potential of Laser Additive Manufactured NiTi Triply Periodic Minimal Sheet Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the lightweight potential of laser additive‐manufactured NiTi triply periodic minimal surface sheet lattices. It systematically investigates the effects of relative density and unit cell size on surface quality, deformation recovery, compression behavior, and energy absorption.

Normative Modeling of Static and Dynamic Functional Connectivity

open access: yes
The transition toward individual-level modeling in functional neuroimaging is severely bottlenecked by methodological heterogeneity, which confounds subject-specific effects with study-dependent variance. Normative modeling leverages a multi-level statistical model to parameterize and account for such variability.

Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Intrinsic Network Static and Dynamic Functional Connectivity Associated With Induced Affect

open access: yesSocial Cognitive And Affective Neuroscience
The brain’s processing of affective states involves complex interactions across brain regions, rather than localized to a specific region. The examination of the neural mechanisms of affect has shifted from a functional localization approach towards a distributed network neuroscience.

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.

Aberrant white matter and subcortical gray matter functional network connectivity associated with static and dynamic characteristics in subjects with temporal lobe epilepsy

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience
Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) is a common type of epilepsy, with seizures primarily originating in the deep temporal lobe. This condition results in changes in connectivity across gray matter (GM), and white matter (WM) regions.

Altered Static and Dynamic Functional Connectivity of Habenula Associated With Suicidal Ideation in First-Episode, Drug-Naïve Patients With Major Depressive Disorder

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychiatry, 2020
Investigating the neurobiological mechanism of suicidal ideation (SI) in major depressive disorder (MDD) may be beneficial to prevent the suicidal behavior. Mounting evidence showed that habenula contributed to the etiology of MDD.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Reliability of Static and Dynamic Network Metrics in the Resting-State: A MEG-Beamformed Connectivity Analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2018
The resting activity of the brain can be described by so-called intrinsic connectivity networks (ICNs), which consist of spatially and temporally distributed, but functionally connected, nodes.
