Performance of Static Charge Reducer

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1970
<div class="htmlview paragraph">The Static Charge Reducer, a device to reduce static charges in distillate fuels to safe levels during loading or fueling operations, has been in commercial service for over five years and is now being used in several hundred installations.

Chronic Static Stretching Improves Exercise Performance

Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, 2007
This study investigated the influence of static stretching exercises on specific exercise performances.Thirty-eight volunteers participated in this study. The stretching group (STR) consisted of 8 males and 11 females whose activity was limited to a 10-wk, 40-min, 3-d.wk(-1) static stretching routine designed to stretch all the major muscle groups in ...

Numerical investigation of the performance of several static mixers

The Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, 1998
AbstractThe performance of six static mixer (Kenics, Inliner, LPD, Cleveland, SMX and ISG) are compared using 3D numerical simulations in laminar creeping flow regime. Numerical pressure drop results are tested against experimental ones, showing overall a good agreement.

Static performance comparison of prominent synchrophasor algorithms

2017 IEEE Innovative Smart Grid Technologies - Asia (ISGT-Asia), 2017
Synchrophasor technology has become a prominent wide area measurement technique in the recent years. Development of robust synchrophasor estimation algorithms has been one of the key focus areas in the field of synchrophasor. However, there is a lack of performance comparison studies of these algorithms.

On the static performance of the RESURF LDMOSFETS for power ICs

2009 21st International Symposium on Power Semiconductor Devices & IC's, 2009
This paper introduces a technology-specific relation for the static performance of high voltage lateral diffused MOSFETs. A similar relation, only dependent on material properties, is available for vertical power devices. Here we show that the static performance of the lateral power devices is influenced by the REduced SURface Field effect.

The amplitude distribution of surface EMG in static and intermittent static muscular performance

European Journal of Applied Physiology and Occupational Physiology, 1979
A measure of the variation of load on individual muscles or parts of muscles may be obtained by estimating the amplitude probability distribution function (APDF) of the myoelectric signal. In a study of elbow flexor muscular performance in static and intermittent static low level muscular contractions, the APDF was computed from the surface EMG ...

A multirate autotuning PI with improved static performance

2009 American Control Conference, 2009
Among the performance degradation effects that occur with finite precision implementations of controllers, a seldom addressed one is static imprecision. This paper proposes a multirate realization of a PI controller, relying on the frequency separation between the integral action and the remaining controller dynamics, that improves static precision ...

A server performance model for static Web workloads

2000 IEEE International Symposium on Performance Analysis of Systems and Software. ISPASS (Cat. No.00EX422), 2002
The paper describes a queuing network model for a multiprocessor system running a static Web workload such as SPECweb96. The model includes architectural details of the Web server in terms of multilevel cache hierarchy, processor bus, memory pipeline, PCI bus based I/O subsystem, and bypass I/O-memory path for DMA transfers.

Performing Static Inferences with Attributes

1989
When an editor-designer creates an editor, a substantial part of the specification consists of attribute declarations and attribute equations. This chapter illustrates some of the considerations that influence the way an editor specification’s attribution schemes are written.
