Optimal Open-Loop Routing and Threshold-Based Allocation in TWO Parallel QUEUEING Systems with Heterogeneous Servers

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
In this paper, we study the problem of optimal routing for the pair of two-server heterogeneous queues operating in parallel and subsequent optimal allocation of customers between the servers in each queue.

Strength through diversity: how cancers thrive when clones cooperate

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumor heterogeneity can offer direct benefits to the tumor through cooperation between different clones. In this review, Kuiken et al. discuss existing evidence for clonal cooperativity to identify overarching principles, and highlight how novel technological developments could address remaining open questions.

Trajectory Data Mining-Based Routing in DTN-Enabled Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
A delay/disruption tolerant network (DTN) architecture where a “store-carry-forward”strategy is adopted for data transmissions can be utilized in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs).

ATG4B is required for mTORC1‐mediated anabolic activity and is associated with clinical outcomes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The relationship between anabolic and catabolic processes governing lung cancer cell growth is nuanced. We show that ATG4B, an autophagy regulator, is elevated in lung cancer and that high ATG4B is associated with worse patient outcomes. Targeting ATG4B in cells reduces growth, protein synthesis, and mTORC1 activity, demonstrating a new relationship ...

Research on dynamic routing mechanism in network simulation

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2007
A fundamental requirement for any network simulation environment is the realistic forwarding of packets from a source to a destination in the simulated topology. The routing decisions will be affected by topology changes. In almost all current simulators ...

Autophagosome marker, LC3, is released extracellularly via several distinct pathways

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study establishes a novel HiBiT‐tagging system for ultrasensitive detection of LC3, revealing multiple pathways for its extracellular secretion. It demonstrates that LC3 is released via both autophagy‐dependent and ‐independent mechanisms, including a novel route for nonlipidated LC3‐I.

Tabu Search for Low-Cost Dynamic Multicast Tree Generation with Quality of Service Guarantees

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Systems, 2015
In a communication network with a source node, a multicast tree is defined as a tree rooted at the source node and all its leaves being recipients of the multicast originating at the source.
