Conductive Hydrogels for Exogenous Sensing and Cell Fate Control

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We engineer electrically conductive hydrogels by combining sulfated glycosaminoglycans with semiconducting polymers. These hydrogels bind bioactive proteins, including growth factors, whose release or retention can be modulated by low‐voltage stimulation. The hydrogels are also integrated as 3D channels in organic electrochemical transistors as part of

Recent Progress in the Phase‐Controlled Synthesis of Ruthenium Nanocrystals for Catalytic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Template effect and kinetic control enable crystal‐phase engineering of Ru nanocrystals, granting access to either metastable fcc‐Ru or stable hcp‐Ru with distinct surface structures, thermal stabilities, and catalytic behaviors. Moreover, the hcp‐Ru can further serve as an epitaxial template to direct Pd and Rh nanocrystals into the metastable hcp ...

Static VAr compensator protection

IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 1995
Static VAr compensator (SVC) protection practices are presented. Protection schemes comprise a combination of conventional protective relays as well as protection functions performed by the control system. This paper describes different protection functions applicable to SVCs and includes a tabulated overview of possible SVC protection methods.

Designing of static VAR compensators with voltage regulators

2019 IEEE International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering and 2019 IEEE Industrial and Commercial Power Systems Europe (EEEIC / I&CPS Europe), 2019
The approach to the designing of controlled reactive power compensators with AC sinusoidal voltage regulators is presented. Different topologies of VAR compensators with voltage regulators are analyzed. An example of sinusoidal voltage regulator realization based on a transformer with a controlled transformer ratio is considered.
