STATISTICAL DEPENDENCE ANALYSIS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics C, 1996
We review our recent studies on the dynamical correlations in MC simulations from the view point of the statistical dependence. Attentions are paid to the reduction of the statistical degrees of freedom for correlated data. Possible biases on several cumulants, such as the susceptibility and the Binder number due to finite MC length are discussed.

A Statistical Analysis of Cryptocurrencies [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Risk and Financial Management, 2017
We analyze statistical properties of the largest cryptocurrencies (determined by market capitalization), of which Bitcoin is the most prominent example. We characterize their exchange rates versus the U.S. Dollar by fitting parametric distributions to them.

Robust Estimation for Semi-Functional Linear Model with Autoregressive Errors

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
It is well-known that the traditional functional regression model is mainly based on the least square or likelihood method. These methods usually rely on some strong assumptions, such as error independence and normality, that are not always satisfied ...

Confidence Intervals for Assessing Non-Inferiority with Assay Sensitivity in a Three-Arm Trial with Normally Distributed Endpoints

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
Various approaches including hypothesis test and confidence interval (CI) construction have been proposed to assess non-inferiority and assay sensitivity via a known fraction or pre-specified margin in three-arm trials with continuous or discrete ...

Statistical design and analysis [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 18th conference on Winter simulation - WSC '86, 1986
After a general simulation model is built, coded, verified, and validated, it is used to learn about the system(s) under study, requiring careful prior design of the runs and appropriate analysis of their output. This paper surveys methods for effective and efficient design and analysis of simulation experiments.
