Jacobians of Singular Transformations with Applications to Statistical Distribution Theory
Communications in Statistics - Simulation and Computation, 1973In the statistical distribution theory, frequent use is made of one-to-one transformations from an n×1 vector, x, of random variables to an n×1 vector, u, of random variables. In the context of this note, such a transformation would be described as nonsingular.

Distribution Functions in the Statistical Theory of Turbulence
The Physics of Fluids, 1967A hierarchy of coupled equations for multipoint turbulent velocity distribution functions is derived. These equations resemble the Bogoliubov-Born-Green-Kirkwood-Yvon equations of kinetic gas theory. The properties of the distribution functions and the equations are discussed and compared with kinetic theory.

On a Multiple Integral Useful in Order Statistics Distribution Theory
Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1970SummaryA known multiple integral from the difference calculus is used to derive certain distributions of ordered statistics from the truncated exponential, rectangular, and ordered random intervals populations.

Asymptotic distribution theory for general statistical functionals
Annals of the Institute of Statistical Mathematics, 1985This short paper is complementary to the paper reviewed above, see Zbl 0585.62058. It gives conditions on the c.d.f. F and on general functionals T(F) implying the compact differentiability of T at F, along \(C^ 0(R)\). The asymptotic normality of statistical functionals more general than L- estimators is derived.

Statistical theory for the ancle distribution of fission fragments
The Soviet Journal of Atomic Energy, 1957The angle distribution for fission fragments is considered at high excitation levels; in this case the angular momentum is distributed over a large number of nucleons and statistical theory can be applied to the nucleus. The distribution of states of the “transition” nucleus over values of the quantity K.

Statistical theory of spin distribution of fission products
Physical Review C, 1978The statistical-theory predictions of the average spin of fission products, the dependence of spin on the bombarding energy, and the distribution of spin with respect to the fragment mass are compared with experimental results. Good agreement is obtained. The last one provides direct evidence that asymmetric fission is associated with higher density of

Statistical theory of the Marshall-Palmer distribution of raindrops
Atmospheric Environment. Part A. General Topics, 1993Abstract A statistical model is developed for the large-sample-averaged raindrop size spectrum. Under the condition that the “instant” spectrum can be fitted with a gamma distribution, n ( D ) = N 0 D μ e − λD , it is proven that the averaged spectrum approaches the Marshall-Palmer distribution, n ( D ) = N 0 e − λD , with the sample ...

Statistical theory of the angular distribution of fission fragments
Journal of Nuclear Energy (1954), 1958Abstract The angular distribution of fragments is considered in the case where fission takes place at an excitation energy high enough for the momentum to be distributed among a large number of nucleons, so that the statistical theory of the nucleus applies.
