Experiments on domain adaptation for English-Hindi SMT [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Statistical Machine Translation (SMT) systems are usually trained on large amounts of bilingual text and monolingual target language text. If a significant amount of out-of-domain data is added to the training data, the quality of translation can drop ...

Engineered Peptides‐Based Hybrid‐Nested Microneedle Effectively Treat Biofilm‐Infected Diabetic Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid‐nested microneedle/cryogel scaffold (MQW‐CMg‐MOF) is designed for efficient biofilm removal and accelerated healing of diabetic wounds. The scaffold shows substantial biofilm removal in vitro and in a preclinical diabetic swine biofilm‐infected wound model compared to the control.

Czech-Slovak Statistical Machine Translation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Cílem téhle práce je navrhnout, implementovat a vyhodnotit úspěšnost vytvořeného systému pro překlad českých textů do slovenštiny. Popisuje teoretické základy statistického strojového překladu a pak samotnou fázi návrhu a vývoje systému.

Multifunctional Hydroxyapatite Coated with Gallium Liquid Metal‐Based Silver Nanoparticles for Infection Prevention and Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multifunctional hydroxyapatite (HAp) coating integrated with silver‐gallium liquid metal nanoparticles (HAp‐Ag‐GaNPs) exhibits dual antibacterial and osteogenic properties. It effectively inhibits Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, including resistant strains, while enhancing bone regeneration.

Self‐organized Criticality in Neuromorphic Nanowire Networks With Tunable and Local Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Memristive nanowire networks (NWNs) are shown to be electrically tunable to a critical state where specific local dynamics evaluated by multiterminal characterization are exploited as feature selection in nonlinear transformation (NLT) tasks.

Syntax-based reordering for statistical machine translation

open access: yesComputer Speech & Language, 2011
In this paper, we develop an approach called syntax-based reordering (SBR) to handling the fundamental problem of word ordering for statistical machine translation (SMT). We propose to alleviate the word order challenge including morpho-syntactical and statistical information in the context of a pre-translation reordering framework aimed at capturing ...

Roulette‐Inspired Physical Unclonable Functions: Stochastic yet Deterministic Multi‐Bit Patterning through the Solutal Marangoni Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Geometric multi‐bit patterning based on dynamic wetting and dewetting phenomena creates roulette‐like Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) labels with stochastic yet deterministic properties. This method leverages the solutal‐Marangoni effect for high randomness while achieving deterministic multinary patterns through polygonal confinement of binary ...
