Geometry of statistical manifolds
A statistical manifold \((M,g,\nabla)\) is a Riemannian manifold \((M,g)\) equipped with torsion-free affine connections \(\nabla,\nabla^*\) which are dual with respect to \(g\). A point \(p\in M\) is said to be \(\nabla\)- isotropic if the sectional curvatures have the same value \(k(p)\), and \((M,g,\nabla)\) is said to be \(\nabla\)-isotropic when \(

ABSTRACT Objective Glioma recurrence severely impacts patient prognosis, with current treatments showing limited efficacy. Traditional methods struggle to analyze recurrence mechanisms due to challenges in assessing tumor heterogeneity, spatial dynamics, and gene networks.

A holistic similarity measure for GMMs by embedding it into the manifold of SPD matrices
In this paper, a new similarity measure for comparing two Gaussian Mixture Models (GMMs) is obtained. This is based on an embedding of the manifold of K-component GMMs into the manifold of the symmetric positive definite matrices (SPD).

Information Geometry on the \(\kappa\)-Thermostatistics
We explore the information geometric structure of the statistical manifold generated by the \(\kappa\)-deformed exponential family. The dually-flat manifold is obtained as a dualistic Hessian structure by introducing suitable generalization of the Fisher

Impact of Asymptomatic Intracranial Hemorrhage on Outcome After Endovascular Stroke Treatment
ABSTRACT Background Endovascular treatment (EVT) achieves high rates of recanalization in acute large‐vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke, but functional recovery remains heterogeneous. While symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) has been well studied, the prognostic impact of asymptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (aICH) after EVT is less certain ...

Fluid Biomarkers of Disease Burden and Cognitive Dysfunction in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
ABSTRACT Objective Identifying objective biomarkers for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is crucial to improving diagnosis and establishing clinical trial and treatment endpoints. This study evaluated fluid biomarkers in PSP versus controls and their associations with regional 18F‐PI‐2620 tau‐PET, clinical, and cognitive outcomes.

A Statistical Cohomogeneity One Metric on the Upper Plane with Constant Negative Curvature
we analyze the geometrical structures of statistical manifold S consisting of all the wrapped Cauchy distributions. We prove that S is a simply connected manifold with constant negative curvature K=-2. However, it is not isometric to the hyperbolic space

Robust PCA by Manifold Optimization
Robust PCA is a widely used statistical procedure to recover a underlying low-rank matrix with grossly corrupted observations. This work considers the problem of robust PCA as a nonconvex optimization problem on the manifold of low-rank matrices, and ...

ABSTRACT Objective In multiple sclerosis, the optimal time for deploying a therapeutic intervention is before the central nervous system is damaged; given the success of trials treating the earliest stage of MS, the radiologically isolated syndrome, developing primary prevention strategies is an important next challenge.

Ketogenic Diet as an Epigenetic Therapy in SETD1B‐Related Epilepsy
ABSTRACT Histone lysine methyltransferases such as SETD1B regulate chromatin structure and gene transcription. Ketone bodies, including butyrate, act as histone deacetylase inhibitors. We report a 4‐year‐old boy with SETD1B‐related absence epilepsy, refractory to conventional medications, who achieved sustained > 90% seizure reduction on the Modified ...
