Data-Driven Surveillance of Internet Usage Using a Polynomial Profile Monitoring Scheme
Control charts, which are one of the major tools in the Statistical Process Control (SPC) domain, are used to monitor a process over time and improve the final quality of a product through variation reduction and defect prevention. As a novel development

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

A functional data analysis approach for the monitoring of ship CO2 emissions
Sensing networks provide nowadays massive amounts of data that in many applications provide information about curves, surfaces and vary over a continuum, usually time, and thus, can be suitably modelled as functional data. Their proper modelling by means

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Economic and Economic-Statistical Designs of Multivariate Coefficient of Variation Chart
From the economic perspective, cost minimization is an important part of Statistical Process Control (SPC). The conventional approach in SPC focuses on monitoring the process mean and variance for possible shifts. In some processes, such as clinical and

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

STATISTICAL CONTROL OF THE PROCESS APPLIED TO THE MONITORING OF THE WATER QUALITY INDEX [PDF]
Analyzing the physical-chemical and biological characteristics allows the evaluation of the water quality of a water body. Thus, the objective of this study was to determine the water quality index of the Passaúna and Piraquara rivers, as well as to ...

Multivariate statistical process monitoring
Demands regarding production efficiency, product quality, safety levels and environment protection are continuously increasing in the process industry. The way to accomplish these demands is to introduce the more complex automatic control systems which require more process variables to be measured and more advanced measurement systems.
