We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Weighted-Likelihood-Ratio-Based EWMA Schemes for Monitoring Geometric Distributions
Monitoring the parameter of discrete distributions is common in industrial production. Also, it is often crucial to monitor the parameter of geometric distribution, which is often regarded as the nonconforming item rate.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

This paper proposes two process monitoring schemes, namely the Shiryaev–Roberts (SR) procedure and the cumulative sum (CUSUM) procedure, to detect shifts in the shape and scale parameters of Type I right-censored Gamma-distributed lifetime data.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Multivariate statistical process monitoring
Demands regarding production efficiency, product quality, safety levels and environment protection are continuously increasing in the process industry. The way to accomplish these demands is to introduce the more complex automatic control systems which require more process variables to be measured and more advanced measurement systems.

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

The pyruvate generator, which causes activation of respiration by extra‐mitochondrial Ca2+, is also present and functional in rat brainstem mitochondria, as it is in other brain regions. This finding is confirmed by experiments with a fully reconstituted malate–aspartate shuttle (MAS).

Ubiquitination of secretory granules promotes their crinophagic degradation in Drosophila
Ubiquitination of secretory granules in Drosophila larval salivary glands is a critical molecular trigger for crinophagy, the lysosomal degradation of unreleased, or low‐quality granules. The E3 ubiquitin ligase Cnot4 is recruited to the surface of secretory granules to induce crinophagy.

Statistical and predictive process monitoring
In this thesis, we investigate the possibilities of the increase in the size and frequency of data for both statistical and predictive process monitoring. This includes adjusting statistical process monitoring techniques based on large samples using the Central Limit Theorem and updating parameter estimates to increase the flexibility for high ...
