Seventeen bones (sixteen cadaveric bones and one plastic bone) were used to validate a method for reconstructing a surface model of the proximal femur from 2D X-ray radiographs and a statistical shape model that was constructed from thirty training ...

Multi-organ Statistical Shape Model Building Using a Non-rigid ICP Based Surface Registration [PDF]
Landmark correspondence is one of the key steps in Statistical Shape Model (SSM) building. In this paper, a non-rigid iterative closest point surfaces registration method is introduced to seek proper corresponded landmarks in the multi-organ surface ...

Statistical Shape Models (SSMs) are well-established tools for assessing the variability of 3D geometry and for broadening a limited set of shapes. They are widely used in medical imaging due to their ability to model complex geometries and their high ...

We discuss a new planning method for corrective osteotomy surgery without the need to make a CT scan of the contralateral bone. We use a statistical shape model to estimate the most likely relative position of two bone segments of an osteotomized bone ...

ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...

S.480-487Deep neural networks have achieved significant success in medical image segmentation in recent years. However, poor contrast to surrounding tissues and high flexibility of anatomical structure of the interest object are still challenges.

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

A Large-scale Virtual Patient Cohort to Study ECG Features of Interatrial Conduction Block
Interatrial conduction block refers to a disturbance in the propagation of electrical impulses in the conduction pathways between the right and the left atrium. It is a risk factor for atrial fibrillation, stroke, and premature death. Clinical diagnostic

Construction method of vertebral body geometric shape statistical model fused curvature features
