Dynamic Model of Reluctance Step Motor

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2005
Reluctance step motors are the electromechanical componets to engineering applications stems from their low cost, reliability and controllability. Because torque depends only on the square of the applied stator currents and not on their direction, these ...

Experimental rotordynamic coefficient results for honeycomb seals [PDF]

open access: yes
Test results (leakage and rotordynamic coefficients) are presented for seven honeycomb-stator smooth-rotor seals. Tests were carried out with air at rotor speeds up to 16,000 cpm and supply pressures up to 8.2 bars.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

The anti‐CRISPR protein AcrIE8.1 inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system by directly binding to the Cascade subunit Cas11

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.

Analysis on the Influence of Swelling on Interference of Stator and Rotor of Progressing Cavity Pump

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2018
In downhole environment, the conventional oil progressing cavity pump may experience uneven deformation of stator rubber owing to swelling, which is an indispensable factor in stator and rotor design.

Off-design performance loss model for radial turbines with pivoting, variable-area stators [PDF]

open access: yes
An off-design performance loss model was developed for variable stator (pivoted vane), radial turbines through analytical modeling and experimental data analysis.

A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.
