An analysis of rotor-stator interaction
2012The aim of this paper is to investigate the influence of rotor-stator interaction on the dynamic behaviour of a rotor-bearing system. First the model of a SDOF system with two stop-ends is established. The analytical solution permits testing the stability and the robustness of the penalty contact law combined with two numerical schemes. Second, a three-

A Comparison of 100% Stator Ground Fault Protection Schemes for Generator Stator Windings
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1984This paper describes three different schemes for detecting single-phase-to-ground faults in 100% of the generator stator winding. The operating theory, a setting example, and field measurements are provided for each of the three schemes. A chart comparing the significant application characteristics of the three schemes is presented.

Power factor measurements on high voltage stator bars and stator windings
Conference Record of the the 2002 IEEE International Symposium on Electrical Insulation (Cat. No.02CH37316), 2003Power Factor (PF) measurements have been made for years on high voltage stator coils as a means to determine how well the coil consolidation is and to obtain a measure of the quality of the insulation system on newly manufactured stator coils. power factor measurements are also made on stators that have been in service and on coils after being subject ...
