Multicode STBC in Frequency Selective Fading
Multicode operation in space-time block coded (STBC) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems can provide additional degrees of freedom in code domain to achieve high data rates. In such multicode STBC systems, the receiver experiences code domain interference (CDI) in frequency selective fading.

Uplink SCMA with STBC in Fading Channels
Sparse code multiple access (SCMA) is an attractive non-orthogonal multiple access scheme for wireless communications. Meanwhile, space-time block coding (STBC) can achieve high diversity gains in fading channels. This paper proposes an uplink SCMA-STBC with a space-time-based message-passing algorithm (ST-MPA).

Bezout equalization for STBC-MIMO systems
Space-Time Blocking Coding (STBC) has become very popular as an efficient diversity creation technique. With extra transmission redundancies introduced, the receiver performance can be significantly improved via STBC. In this paper, we study the signal recovery problem for a physical Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) channel via an inverse FIR ...

Relay Assisted Adaptive MIMO Communication Using STBC, VBLAST, MLSTBC and HYBRID-STBC-VBLAST for MAC
2016 30th International Conference on Advanced Information Networking and Applications Workshops (WAINA), 2016In this paper, performance of STBC, VBLAST, MLSTBC and Hybrid-STBC-VBLAST is investigated in the presence of rayleigh fading for relay assisted multiple access communication. STBC provides diversity gain but does not provide multiplexing gain. On the other hand, VBLAST provides multiplexing gain but does not provide diversity gain.

Adaptive Detection for STBCS in IEEE802.11AC
2014 IEEE Intl Conf on High Performance Computing and Communications, 2014 IEEE 6th Intl Symp on Cyberspace Safety and Security, 2014 IEEE 11th Intl Conf on Embedded Software and Syst (HPCC,CSS,ICESS), 2014An adaptive detection scheme is proposed on the very fast detection algorithm for Space-time block code in IEEE 802.11ac. At first, QR decomposition is applied to the channel matrix for getting an upper triangular matrix and has been achieved the required number of candidate constellation points around the maximum likelihood (ML) points without ...

A Novel Quaternion Design Construction For STBC
2008 IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2008In this paper, several investigations have been performed for solving the open problem that if small quaternion orthogonal design can be used to build larger one. The so called coordinate interleaved orthogonal designs (CIODs) are generalized into quaternion in the paper, and consequently it introduces a new construction technique for 4 n times 4 m ...

Complex Linear STBCs with Multiple Rates
2005 2nd International Symposium on Wireless Communication Systems, 2005Complex linear space-time block codes (STBCs) with multiple rates are investigated. First, the conditions for capacity-lossless STBC existence are derived and we prove that capacity-lossless complex linear STBCs exist if and only if there is one receive antenna. It is also proved that rate-one capacity-lossless complex linear STBCs exist if and only if

STBC cooperative relay for packet broadcasting
2010 7th International Symposium on Wireless Communication Systems, 2010In this paper we propose a broadcasting scheme with STBC (space time block codes) cooperative relay in multi-hop cellular network (MCN). In this scheme, base stations (BSs) broadcast the packets to mobile terminals (MTs) and relay stations (RSs), and at the next time slot, RSs which have correctly received the broadcast packets rebroadcast the packets ...

Irregular Multidimensional Constellations for Orthogonal STBCs
2015 IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), 2014Utilizing multiple antennas at the transmitter and receiver provides higher data rates and better reliability by exploiting spatial diversity. Space-time block codes (STBCs) is a simple approach for using multiple transmit and receive antennas that has been widely employed in standards.
