Steady-state sensitivity analysis for antibiotic concentration.

open access: yes, 2019
The number of bound bacteria, BB, is a monotone decreasing function of the antibiotic concentration, A, in all cases, as are the number of free bacteria, BF, and the total number of bacteria, BT, in Case A.

On the stimulus duty cycle in steady state visual evoked potential [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Brain-computer interfaces (BCI) are useful devices that allow direct control of external devices using thoughts, i.e. brain's electrical activity. There are several BCI paradigms, of which steady state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) is the most commonly

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Bifurcation in a nonlinear steady state system [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2010
The steady state solutions of a nonlinear digital cellular neural network with \(\omega\) neural units and a nonnegative variable parameter \(\lambda\) are sought. We show that \(\lambda = 1\) is a critical value such that the qualitative behavior of our

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

The steady-states of splitter networks

open access: yesCoRR
We introduce splitter networks, which abstract the behavior of conveyor belts found in the video game Factorio. Based on this definition, we show how to compute the steady-state of a splitter network. Then, leveraging insights from the players community, we provide multiple designs of splitter networks capable of load-balancing among several conveyor ...

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Моделювання електричних параметрів газорозрядної лампи високого тиску

open access: yesElektrotehnìka ta Elektroenergetika, 2010
Запропоновано модель електричних параметрів газорозрядної лампи високого тискуз урахуванням нелінійної вольт-амперної характеристики та її структурно-логічну схему. Наведено результати моделювання та експериментальні дослідження.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
