Steady-State Performance Analysis of a Variable Tap-Length LMS Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2008
A steady-state performance analysis of the fractional tap-length (FT) variable tap-length least mean square (LMS) algorithm is presented in this correspondence. Based on the analysis, a mathematical formulation for the steady-state tap length is obtained. Some general criteria for parameter selection are also given.

Generalized Asymmetric Correntropy for Robust Adaptive Filtering: A Theoretical and Simulation Study

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
Correntropy has been proved to be effective in eliminating the adverse effects of impulsive noises in adaptive filtering. However, correntropy is not desirable when the error between the two random variables is asymmetrically distributed around zero.

Piecewise Linear Power Flow Algorithm of DC Distribution Networks Considering Automatic Adjustment of VSC Control Strategy

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
Voltage source converter (VSC)-based DC distribution networks (DCDNs) can automatically adjust the control strategy of overloaded VSCs to adapt to the variation in renewable energy power, but it brings difficulties to the steady-state performance ...

Steady-state performance analysis of MPLS label switching [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings 15th International Conference on Information Networking, 2002
We propose a close-loop queueing model of a multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) switch with the different label-setup and release policies, supporting both traffic-driven and topology-driven connection setup procedures. This model can emulate the behavior of TCP under the MPLS switch when the maximum window size is sustained and the packet loss rate ...

Newtonian-Type Adaptive Filtering Based on the Maximum Correntropy Criterion

open access: yesEntropy, 2020
This paper provides a novel Newtonian-type optimization method for robust adaptive filtering inspired by information theory learning. With the traditional minimum mean square error (MMSE) criterion replaced by criteria like the maximum correntropy ...

Effect of Competing Stimuli for Steady-State Visually Evoked Potential and Steady-State Motion Visually Evoked Potential

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Changes in stimuli proximity have been shown to affect the performance of brain computer interfaces (BCI) based on steady-state visual evoked potentials (SSVEP).

Performance of a Wavelet-Based Spectral Procedure for Steady-State Simulation Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesINFORMS Journal on Computing, 2007
A summary and an analysis are given for an experimental performance evaluation of WASSP, an automated wavelet-based spectral method for constructing an approximate confidence interval on the steady-state mean of a simulation output process such that the delivered confidence interval satisfies user-specified requirements on absolute or relative ...

A case study of wind turbine loads and performance using steady-state analysis of BEM

open access: yesInternational Journal of Sustainable Energy, 2021
Wind power plants produce energy by utilising the kinetic energy available from wind. Turbine blades undergo millions of revolution during lifetime and subjected to wear and tear due to unsteady aerodynamic forces.
