Performance evaluation of recent procedures for steady-state simulation analysis
IIE Transactions, 2006The performance of the batch-means procedure ASAP3 and the spectral procedure WASSP is evaluated on test problems with characteristics typical of practical applications of steady-state simulation analysis procedures. ASAP3 and WASSP are sequential procedures designed to produce a confidence-interval estimator for the mean response that satisfies user ...

Steady State Calculation and Performance Analysis of Variable Cycle Engine
2018 9th International Conference on Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (ICMAE), 2018This paper establishes performance calculation models of variable cycle engine (VCE) of single bypass mode and double bypass mode, and studies the cruising characteristics of VCE in two modes. The results of the research show that, in subsonic cruise flight conditions, the VCE operates in double bypass mode has better SFC (specific fuel consumption ...

Steady‐state performance analysis for hysteresis motor with magnetic anisotropy
COMPEL - The international journal for computation and mathematics in electrical and electronic engineering, 2008PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to present a novel steady‐state performance analysis for the hysteresis motor whose rotor ring is made of Fe‐Cr‐Co magnet steel with magnetic anisotropy.Design/methodology/approachIn order to analyze the motor performance at synchronous pull‐out, the finite‐element method is used, where hysteresis torque is obtained ...

Steady-State Performance Analysis of Polyphase Hysteresis-Reluctance Motors
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1985It is well-known that the hysteresis-reluctance motor produces a torque that is a combination of the hysteresis and reluctance effects. Consequently, the performance characteristics of a hysteresis-reluctance motor would be improved when compared to that of the plain hysteresis motor.

Steady-State Analysis of HVAC Performance using Indoor Fans in Control Design
2019 IEEE 58th Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2019Indoor fans are high-authority actuators in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems since they facilitate the transfer of heat between refrigerant and room air. In some variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, the indoor fan speeds are under the control of the occupants, rather than the HVAC control system.

Steady State and Transient Performance Analysis of Adaptive Array Antennas
MILCOM 1985 - IEEE Military Communications Conference, 1985The performance assessments of array antennas with N antenna elements is generally undertaken by using N-dimensional linear matrix algebra irrespective of the number K of received signals. However, the fundamental dimension (rank) of these problems does not exceed the minimum of K and N.

Steady-state performance analysis of fiber-optic ring resonator
Progress in Quantum Electronics, 2009This paper presents a full steady-state analysis of a fiber-optic ring resonator (FORR). Although in the literature the steady-state response of the FORR has been described, a detailed description of the same is not available. As an understanding of the different steady-state characteristics of the FORR is required to appreciate its characteristic ...

Fischer's protocol is a well-known timed mechanism through which a set of processes can synchronize access to a critical section without relying on atomic test-and-set operations, as might occur in a distributed environment or on a low-level computing platform. The protocol is based on a deterministic waiting time that can be defined so as to guarantee

Steady-State Performances Analysis of a Tilting-Pad Gas Bearing
Journal of Fluid Machinery, 2002In this paper, the steady-state performances analysis of a tilting pad gas bearing(TPGB) we analyzed by using finite element method for compressible Reynolds` equation. TPGB is used in a high-expansion-ratio expander running at a speed of 230,000 rpm. In order to solve the nonlinear finite element equations, the Newton-Raphson method is applied.
