Steady state performance analysis of intelligent networks under overload

1994 IEEE GLOBECOM. Communications: The Global Bridge, 2002
This paper proposes a new modelling technique to calculate steady state call blocking probabilities in intelligent networks under overload conditions. The proposed technique considers the possible mutual influence of the signalling and trunk subnetworks on one another and the impact of customers' reattempts.

Steady-State Performability Analysis of Call Admission Control in Cellular Mobile Networks

2018
In this paper we propose a performability model of multi-class Call Admission Control (CAC) in cellular mobile networks. A performability model is a combination between availability model and performance model. A pure performance model, by ignoring failure and recovery, overestimates the performance measures of the considered system. On the other hand,

Analysis of the steady state performance of a wedge-shaped hydrodynamic journal bearing

Wear, 1995
Abstract A wedge-shaped hydrodynamic journal bearing is proposed here. The analysis considered the flow in the bearing to be laminar incompressible and the lubricant to be isoviscous. An oblique system of coordinates is used to formulate the Reynolds like equation governing the pressure inside the bearing.

Voltage Control Capability Analysis Based on the Steady State performance of SVC

2006
Static Var Compensator(SVC) is a recent power electronics device that can provide reactive power to control power system voltage. The response speed of SVC, detailed operation characteristics of the SVC must be taken into consideration to improve steady-state stability and steady-state performance.
