Steady state simulation of electrical circuits

1993 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002
The authors describe a new method of computing the steady state solution of power electronic systems. The method is a modification of the collocation method, which was originally developed to solve boundary value problems. This method was implemented in the source code of the new steady state simulation program Shore.

Steady-state simulation of the human respiratory system

Computers and Biomedical Research, 1970
Abstract The steady-state human respiratory system was simulated with the aid of a digital computer and a Calcomp model 565 digital plotter. Equations of the model were divided into a controlling system and a controlled system. The classical controller equation of Gray (1950) was compared to the more recent work of Lloyd and Cunningham (1963 ...

A Sequential Procedure for Determining the Length of a Steady-State Simulation

Operations Research, 1979
A common problem faced by simulators is that of constructing a confidence interval for the steady-state mean of a stochastic process. We have reviewed the existing procedures for this problem and found that all but one either produce confidence intervals with coverages which may be considerably lower than desired or have not been adequately tested ...

An Analytical Evaluation of Alternative Strategies in Steady-State Simulation

Operations Research, 1984
We consider the simple technique of making independent and probabilistically identical simulation replications to estimate the steady-state mean of a stochastic process. For a fixed total sample size, using a first-order autoregressive model with high autocorrelation and time-dependent distributions, we analytically quantify and investigate the ...

Steady state chemical process simulation

AIChE Journal, 1975
AbstractIn recent years process simulation by computer has become an accepted tool in the design and control of chemical processes, but there are still uncertainties and conflicting views about the real benefits relative to cost in both chemical industry and in education. This article surveys the literature of the last three years, exploring the answers

Steady-state co-simulation with PowerFactory

2013 Workshop on Modeling and Simulation of Cyber-Physical Energy Systems (MSCPES), 2013
Power system analysis applications like PowerFactory make it possible to investigate research questions within a dedicated domain specific environment. With the increasing complexity in cyber-physical systems the need for coupling models or systems for simulation becomes eminent.

Regenerative steady-state simulation of discrete-event systems

ACM Transactions on Modeling and Computer Simulation, 2001
The regenerative method possesses certain asymptotic properties that dominate those of other steady-state simulation output analysis methods, such as batch means. Therefore, applying the regenerative method to steady-state discrete-event system simulations is of great interest. In this paper, we survey the state of the art in this area.

Permuted Standardized Time Series for Steady-State Simulations

Mathematics of Operations Research, 2006
We describe an extension procedure for constructing new standardized time series procedures from existing ones. The approach is based on averaging over sample paths obtained by permuting path segments. Analytical and empirical results indicate that permuting improves standardized time series methods.

Steady State Simulation of Devices

1993
In Chapters 2 and 3 we presented the phonon spectra and the band structure respectively of the semiconductor; in Chapter 4 the interaction between them. The necessary basic transport physics should now be familiar to the reader. In Chapter 5 the Monte Carlo method was introduced; in Chapter 6 it was used to simulate the bulk properties of semiconductor
