Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Analysis and Enhancement of Steady Climb Performance with Control Input Redundancy for a Dual-Propulsion VTOL UAV

open access: yesAerospace
Dual-propulsion UAVs employ separate rotors for rotary-wing and fixed-wing modes to achieve VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) and high-speed cruise.

Steady State Stability Assessment Using Extreme Learning Machine Based on Modal Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The growth of electricity market led to increase utilization and higher loading of the electric transmission grids worldwide. This situation made power system operate close to steady-state stability limit (SSSL). It could trigger a voltage instability or

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Thermal Analysis of Power Semiconductor Device in Steady-State Conditions

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Electronic devices can be damaged in an undesirable manner if the junction temperature achieves high values in order to cause thermal runaway and melting.

NON‐STEADY‐STATE ANALYSIS OF CELLULAR DEVELOPMENT

open access: yesCell Proliferation, 1974
ABSTRACTA discrete, compartmental, representation is proposed for cellular development. Equations describing the kinetics of cellular development (with or without cell proliferation) are derived in both differential and integral form.Using an integral formulation, a method is proposed for the computation of compartment transit times (maturation times ...

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

An intelligent Cuk-Luo fused DC-DC converter for standalone hybrid renewable energy system’s peak load power management

open access: yesAutomatika
In recent years, single power electronic converters based on hybrid renewable energy systems have become increasingly popular for powering base transceiver stations (BTS). This work introduces a unique Cuk-Luo fused DC-DC converter (CLFC) that integrates

Steady-State and Pre-Steady-State Kinetic Analysis of 8-Oxo-7,8-dihydroguanosine Triphosphate Incorporation and Extension by Replicative and Repair DNA Polymerases

open access: yes, 2016
The kinetics of 8-oxo-7,8-dihydroguanosine triphosphate (8-oxo-dGTP) incorporation into DNA by Escherichia coli polymerases I exo- (KF-) and II exo- (Pol II-), HIV-1 RT reverse transcriptase (HIV-1 RT), and bacteriophage T7 exo- (T7-) were examined to ...
