Prospective Analysis of Functional Outcome of Patella Fracture Management by a Novel Method (FiberWire Fixation): A 2-year Follow-up Study [PDF]
Introduction: The most commonly used procedure for patella fracture fixation is osteosynthesis with Kirschner wires (K-wires) and tension band wiring. A high number of implant-related complications are associated with K-wires and tension band wiring.

3D‐Printed Corneal Substitutes: Materials, Fabrication, and Preclinical Progress
Successful clinical translation of 3D‐printed corneal substitutes relies on the interplay between the bioink properties, cellular component, and the fabrication process. These factors influence the critical properties of the construct, including optical transparency, mechanical stability, suture retention, that ultimately govern long‐term stromal ...

Abdominal wound closure: A trial of nylon, polyglycolic acid and steel sutures
Abstract Failures after abdominal wound closure (early dehiscences and late incisional hernias) are due to breakage of sutures, slippage of knots or tearing out of sutures from the tissues. The suture-holding capacity of the entire thickness of muscle and aponeurosis is nearly twice that of the anterior rectus sheath, and deep bites (1·0

Innate Immunocompetent hiPSC‐Derived Neurospheroids Capture Early CNS Responses to rAAV
Knowledge of human CNS immune responses to AAV‐based gene therapies remains limited due to the lack of immune‐competent human models. Here, a hiPSC‐derived 3D neuroimmune platform integrating neurospheroids and microglia is established using stirred‐tank bioreactors.
