Steering Vector and Signal Estimation for Uncalibrated Polarization Sensitive Arrays

Digital Signal Processing, 1996
Abstract Weiss, A. J., and Friedlander, B., Steering Vector and Signal Estimation for Uncalibrated Polarization Sensitive Arrays,Digital Signal Processing6(1996), 37–50. We consider the problem of estimating the steering vectors of an uncalibrated diversely polarized array. The array elements are assumed to consist of several groups.

Multidimensional Parameters Estimation of Array Signal Based on Steering Vector

APCCAS 2006 - 2006 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems, 2006
This paper exploits rotation invariance of matrix pencil based on two parallel uniform linear polarization sensitive arrays, and eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenvectors of the matrix pencil are the rotation matrix and time-space-polarization steering vector of the subarray, respectively.

Which cumulants should be selected for steering vector estimation?

Proceedings of the IEEE Signal Processing Workshop on Higher-Order Statistics, 2002
Cumulants have been successfully applied in the area of narrowband array signal processing. This motivates a performance analysis to find out the strengths and the weaknesses of each new algorithm. Hitherto, most of the known performance analyses are based on the asymptotic covariance of sample cumulants and are therefore called asymptotic performance ...

Array self-calibration via robust steering vector estimation

Journal of the Acoustical Society of America
We present an algorithm for jointly estimating the directions of arrival (DoAs) and array calibration parameters under the assumption of unknown gain and phase errors.

"Almost blind" steering vector estimation using second-order moments

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 1996
The problem of separation and reconstruction of superimposed signals using an array of sensors attracted considerable interest. The estimation of the steering vectors of an uncalibrated array is considered. We identify a cost function whose minimizer is a statistically consistent estimate of the unknown parameters.

Signal estimation in the presence of the steering vector uncertainties

2013 IX Internatioal Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques, 2013
The problem of signal wave form estimation using an antenna array in case of uncertainties about the steering vector is considered. New asymptotically (in sample size) optimum estimators are derived. In contrast to the known optimal solutions, the employed method of synthesis yields non-iterative direct-form estimators.

Off-Grid Direction-of-Arrival Estimation Based on Steering Vector Approximation

Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing, 2018
In this paper, a novel off-grid direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm is proposed based on steering vector approximation. The conventional multiple signal classification (MUSIC) technique estimates the DOA with a uniformly discretized grid by assuming that the true DOAs lie on the grids. In practice, this assumption is rarely satisfied.

Robust Adaptive Beamforming for Distributed Radar Based on Covariance Matrix Reconstruction and Steering Vector Estimation

2019 IEEE International Conference on Signal, Information and Data Processing (ICSIDP), 2019
Due to the high dynamic characteristics of the airborne distributed radar, array errors cannot be avoided, thus the performance of the conventional adaptive beamforming methods will deteriorate severely.
