Direction Finding for Bistatic MIMO Radar with Uniform Circular Array

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2013
A method of direction of arrival (DOA) and direction of departure (DOD) angle estimation based on polynomial rooting for bistatic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar with uniform circular array (UCA) configuration is proposed in this paper.

Real-Time Parameter Estimation of a Nonlinear Vessel Steering Model Using a Support Vector Machine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The least-square support vector machine (LS-SVM) is used to estimate the dynamic parameters of a nonlinear marine vessel steering model in real-time. First, maneuvering tests are carried out based on a scaled free-running ship model.

Direction of arrival estimation based on modified fast off‐grid L1‐SVD

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2022
This paper proposes a modified fast off‐grid L1‐SVD (M‐FOGL1SVD) method for direction of arrival (DOA) estimation. Unlike FOGL1SVD, after obtaining the positions of the nonzero rows of the signal sources, the off‐grid overcomplete basis matrix is used to

A robust beamforming algorithm based on steering vector mismatch

open access: yesXi'an Gongcheng Daxue xuebao, 2021
A robust beamforming algorithm of particle swarm support vector machine is proposed, which can effectively overcome the influence of steering vector mismatch caused by non-ideal factors such as the array element position disturbance and the arrival angle

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

High Performance Robust Adaptive Beamforming in the Presence of Array Imperfections

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2016
A high performance robust beamforming scheme is proposed to combat model mismatch. Our method lies in the novel construction of interference-plus-noise (IPN) covariance matrix. The IPN covariance matrix consists of two parts.

Spatial aliasing for efficient direction-of-arrival estimation based on steering vector reconstruction [PDF]

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2016
A new technique is proposed to reduce the computational complexity of the multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm for direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimate using a uniform linear array (ULA). The steering vector of the ULA is reconstructed as the Kronecker product of two other steering vectors, and a new cost function with spatial aliasing at ...

Adaptive detection of a signal known only to lie on a line in a known subspace, when primary and secondary data are partially homogeneous [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper deals with the problem of detecting a signal, known only to lie on a line in a subspace, in the presence of unknown noise, using multiple snapshots in the primary data.
