An approach for solving an inverse spherical two-phase Stefan problem arising in modeling of electric contact phenomena [PDF]
In this paper, a model problem that can be used for mathematical modeling and investigation of arc phenomena in electrical contacts is considered. An analytical approach for the solution of a two-phase inverse spherical Stefan problem where along with ...

A convergence result for a Stefan problem with phase relaxation [PDF]
In this paper we consider the model of phase relaxation introduced in [22], where an asymptotic analysis is performed toward an integral formulation of the Stefan problem when the relaxation parameter approaches zero.

Abstract Germany's Renewable Energy Sources Act (REA), enacted in 2000 and subsequently amended, subsidized national renewable energy production with fixed feed‐in tariffs for renewable energy sources (RE) from wind, solar, and biogas. Empirical studies suggest that the policy was creating windfall effects for landowners and attribute farmland use ...

A One-Phase Fractional Spatial Stefan Problem with Convective Specification at the Fixed Boundary
We address a fractional spatial Stefan problem derived from a non-Fourier heat flux model with a convective boundary condition at the fixed boundary. An explicit solution is obtained in terms of a three-parameter Mittag–Leffler function.

ABSTRACT High dose melphalan (HDM) with autologous stem cell transplant is an established treatment for systemic light chain amyloidosis, but its incremental benefit in the era of effective standard intensity therapy is unknown. We retrospectively analyzed 475 transplant‐eligible patients who completed standard intensity treatment with or without HDM ...

Hyperbolic Stefan problem with nonlocal boundary conditions
In this paper, we consider problems with unknown boundaries for hyperbolic equations and systems with free boundaries with two independent variables. The boundary conditions for such equations in the linear or quasilinear cases are given in nonlocal (non-

Newton-Product Integration for a Stefan Problem with Kinetics [PDF]
Stefan problem with kinetics is reduced to a system of nonlinear Volterra integral equations of second kind and Newton's method is applied to linearize it. Product integration solution of the linear form is found and sufficient conditions for convergence
