The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Asteroseismic inversions in the Kepler era: application to the Kepler Legacy sample

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
In the past few years, the CoRoT and Kepler missions have carried out what is now called the space photometry revolution. This revolution is still ongoing thanks to K2 and will be continued by the Tess and Plato2.0 missions.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

The Radiative–Convective Gap: Fact or Fiction?

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
Gaia characterizes the stellar populations of nearby open clusters with unprecedented precision. We investigate the Böhm-Vitense gap, which has been found as a prominent feature in the stellar sequence of open clusters. Using PARSEC isochrone fitting, we

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Evolution of the Lithium–Rotation Correlation in Open Cluster F Dwarfs and a New Age Indicator

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
The Lithium Dip is a severe nonstandard depletion of surface Li in F dwarfs that occurs during the main sequence. We present Li and $v\sin i$ measurements from WIYN/Hydra and CTIO/Hydra spectra of four open clusters whose ages span the range between that
