Temporal Evolution of the Size and Temperature of Betelgeuse's Extended Atmosphere
We use the Very Large Array (VLA) in the A configuration with the Pie Town (PT) Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) antenna to spatially resolve the extended atmosphere of Betelgeuse over multiple epochs at 0.7, 1.3, 2.0, 3.5, and 6.1 cm.

The inactivation of SLC35C1 (GDP‐fucose transporter) and enzymes involved in GDP‐fucose biosynthesis was studied. Fucose supplementation increases the level of GDP‐fucose to abnormal, millimolar values in the absence of the TSTA3 protein and SLC35C1 in contrast to the GMDS/SLC35C1 double mutant.

Stellar Chromospheric Activity
The Sun, stars similar to it, and many rather dissimilar to it, have chromospheres, regions classically viewed as lying above the brilliant photosphere and characterized by a positive temperature gradient and a marked departure from radiative equilibrium.

The E3 ubiquitin ligase, RNF219, suppresses CNOT6L expression to exhibit antiproliferative activity
We identified RNF219 as a CCR4‐NOT complex‐interacting E3 ubiquitin ligase that targets the CCR4‐NOT subunit CNOT6L for ubiquitination. RNF219 directly binds to the DUF3819 domain of CNOT1 through its putative α‐helix spanning amino acids 521–542. Our findings also suggest that antiproliferative activity of RNF219 is at least partially mediated by ...

Performance Triggered Adaptive Model Reduction for Soil Moisture Estimation in Precision Irrigation
ABSTRACT Accurate soil moisture information is essential for precise irrigation to enhance water use efficiency. Estimating soil moisture based on limited soil moisture sensors is especially critical for obtaining comprehensive soil moisture information when dealing with large‐scale agricultural fields.

Constraints on Quaoar’s Rings and Atmosphere from JWST/NIRCam Observations of a Stellar Occultation
Observations of stellar occultations have revealed that small bodies are capable of hosting ring systems. The trans-Neptunian object Quaoar is the host of an enigmatic ring system, with two rings located well outside the Roche limit. To better understand

The Future of Observational Stellar Atmospheres [PDF]
The title of this talk is, of course, a bit absurd since no one in his right mind can possibly predict what will happen in the future over even one year let alone ten. However nothing is impossible for Dick Thomas and having accepted his invitation to present this talk I have to pretend to have a crystal ball and put up a good front.

β‐Catenin/c‐Myc Axis Modulates Autophagy Response to Different Ammonia Concentrations
Ammonia, detoxified by the liver into urea and glutamine, impacts autophagy differently at varying levels. Low ammonia activates autophagy via c‐Myc and β‐catenin, while high levels suppress it. Using Huh7 cells and Spf‐ash mice, c‐Myc's role in cytoprotective autophagy is revealed, offering insights into hyperammonemia and potential therapeutic ...
