Coronal mass ejections (CMEs) are major drivers of stellar space weather and can strongly influence the habitability of exoplanets. However, compared to the frequent occurrence of white-light flares, confirmed stellar CMEs remain extremely rare.

X-Ray Observations of Stellar Flares [PDF]
ABSTRACTThe history of stellar X-ray flare observations prior to EINSTEIN is reviewed. X-ray light curves as measured by the IPC are then presented for all time resolved flare events discovered as of July 1982 in the EINSTEIN data set. These light curves are analyzed in terms of solar-like loop models to derive densities, temperatures, loop lengths ...

Objective A patient‐centered approach for chronic disease management, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), aligns treatment with patients’ values and preferences, leading to improved outcomes. This paper summarizes how patient experiences, perspectives, and priorities informed the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) 2024 Lupus Nephritis (LN)

Properties of PSR J1023+0038 Based on Kepler, TESS, and FAST
The pulsar system PSR J1023+0038 is a very interesting binary with radio millisecond pulsar and low-mass X-ray binary transitions, which depend on the stellar accretion process. We have used Kepler light curves with 1 minute cadence and TESS light curves

White-light continuum in stellar flares [PDF]
AbstractIn this talk, we discuss the formation of the near-ultraviolet and optical continuum emission in M dwarf flares through the formation of a dense, heated chromospheric condensation. Results are used from a recent radiative-hydrodynamic model of the response of an M dwarf atmosphere to a high energy flux of nonthermal electrons.

Objective Body mass index (BMI), glomerular filtration rate (GFR), and pretreatment urate levels have been reported to influence the urate‐lowering response to allopurinol. We investigated whether the fractional excretion of uric acid (FEUA) also modulates this response and relates to oxypurinol concentrations.

Far-ultraviolet Emission Line Investigation of Flares on AU Mic
The role of nonthermal proton energy transportation during solar and stellar flares is largely unknown; a better understanding of this physical process will allow us to rectify longstanding deficiencies in flare models.

Long-duration solar and stellar flares [PDF]
AbstractAccording to one of the most popular classifications, solar flares may be assigned either to the category of small short-lived events, or to the category of large, long-duration two-ribbon (2-R) flares. Even if such a broad division oversimplifies the flare phenomenon, our knowledge of the characteristics of stellar flares is so poor, that it ...
