Kinematic Age of the β-Pictoris Moving Group

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Accurate age estimation of nearby young moving groups (NYMGs) is important as they serve as crucial testbeds in various fields of astrophysics, including the formation and evolution of stars and planets, as well as loose stellar associations.

The Stellar and Gaseous Kinematics in NGC 253 [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1998
This paper presents observations with intermediate spectral and spatial resolution along the major and minor axes of the starburst galaxy NGC 253. The spectral ranges analyzed are in the region of the stellar MgIb (5175 A), the near IR CaII triplet (8550 A) absorption features, and the region of the Halpha emission line.

Meniscus Pixel Printing for Contact‐Lens Vision Sensing and Robotic Control

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A visual‐sensing contact lens is enabled by meniscus pixel printing (MPP), which rapidly patterns a 200 µm perovskite photodetector pixel in 1 s without masks, vacuum processing, or bulky equipment. A deep‐learning‐based super‐resolution reconstructs sparse on‐lens signals into 80 × 80 high‐resolution visual information, while AI‐driven eye‐tracking ...

The MASSIVE Survey. XX. A Triaxial Stellar Dynamical Measurement of the Supermassive Black Hole Mass and Intrinsic Galaxy Shape of Giant Radio Galaxy NGC 315

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present a new dynamical measurement of the supermassive black hole mass and intrinsic shape of the stellar halo of the massive radio galaxy NGC 315 as part of the MASSIVE survey.

Orbital decomposition of the nuclear regions in the early-type galaxy FCC 47: Unveiling the nuclear cluster origin

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Context. Nuclear star clusters (NSCs) are among the densest stellar systems in the Universe and often coexist with supermassive black holes (SMBHs) at galaxy centres.

Confirmation of an Anomalously Low Dark Matter Content for the Galaxy NGC 1052-DF4 from Deep, High-resolution Continuum Spectroscopy

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
NGC 1052-DF4 was found to be the second “galaxy lacking dark matter” in the NGC 1052 group, based on its velocity dispersion of ${\sigma }_{\mathrm{gc}}={4.2}_{-2.2}^{+4.4}$ km s ^−1 as measured from the radial velocities of seven of its globular ...

Stellar Kinematics in Star-Forming Regions [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1987
High-precision radial-velocity studies of four star-forming regions: λ Orionis, NGC 2264, the Trapezium cluster and Taurus-Auriga, are completed or in process (in collaboration with Latham, Marschall and Hartmann). Single-order (∼ 50 Å, central wavelength 5200 Å) echelle spectra have been obtained for late-type pre-main sequence stars.

Optoelectronic Control of Redox Dynamics in POM Memristors for Noise‐Resilient Speech and Hardware‐Level Motion Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic control of redox‐active polyoxometalate clusters in polymer matrices yields hybrid memristors with switchable volatile and non‐volatile modes, enabling reservoir‐type in‐sensor optical preprocessing and stable multilevel synapses for multimodal neuromorphic computing, including noise‐tolerant audiovisual keyword recognition and hardware ...
