The red stellar population in NGC 1569 [PDF]
We present HST NICMOS photometry of the resolved stellar population in NGC 1569. The CMD in the F110W and F160W photometric bands contains ~2400 stars with a formal photometric error < 0.1 mag down to J~23.5 and H~22.5.

The Average Stellar Population Age and Metallicity of Intermediate-redshift Quiescent Galaxies
The HectoMAP spectroscopic survey provides a unique mass-limited sample of more than 35,000 quiescent galaxies ( D _n 4000 > 1.5) covering the redshift range 0.2 10 ^11 M _⊙ ) assemble the bulk of their stars at earlier epochs.

THE RED MSX SOURCE SURVEY: THE MASSIVE YOUNG STELLAR POPULATION OF OUR GALAXY [PDF]
We present the Red MSX Source survey, the largest statistically selected catalog of young massive protostars and H ii regions to date. We outline the construction of the catalog using mid- and near-infrared color selection.

The dual nature of TDC – bridging dendritic and T cells in immunity
TDC are hematopoietic cells combining dendritic and T cell features. They reach secondary lymphoid organs (SLOs) and peripheral organs (liver and lungs) after FLT3‐dependent development in the bone marrow and maturation in the thymus. TDC are activated and enriched in SLOs upon viral infection, suggesting that they might play unique immune roles, since

Integrated spectral energy distributions of binary star composite stellar populations
This paper presents theoretical integrated spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of binary star composite stellar populations (bsCSPs) in early-type galaxies, and how the bsCSP model can be used for spectral studies of galaxies.

Stellar Population Models and Individual Element Abundances I: Sensitivity of Stellar Evolution Models [PDF]
Integrated light from distant galaxies is often compared to stellar population models via the equivalent widths of spectral features--spectral indices--whose strengths rely on the abundances of one or more elements. Such comparisons hinge not only on the

Missing Giants: Predictions on Dust-obscured Galaxy Stellar Mass Assembly Throughout Cosmic Time
Due to their extremely dust-obscured nature, much uncertainty still exists surrounding the stellar mass growth and content in dusty, star-forming galaxies (DSFGs) at z > 1. In this work, we present a numerical model built using empirical data on DSFGs to

How sensitive are predicted galaxy luminosities to the choice of stellar population synthesis model [PDF]
We present a new release of the GALFORM semi-analytical model of galaxy formation and evolution, which exploits a Millennium Simulation-class N-body run performed with the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe 7 cosmology.

In vivo IL‐10 produced by tissue‐resident tolDC is involved in maintaining/inducing tolerance. Depending on the agent used for ex vivo tolDC generation, cells acquire common features but prime T cells towards anergy, FOXP3+ Tregs, or Tr1 cells according to the levels of IL‐10 produced. Ex vivo‐induced tolDC were administered to patients to re‐establish/

Do Red Galaxies Form More Stars than Blue Galaxies?
A new model is proposed in which typical galaxies form most of their stellar mass in a phase with an intrinsically red stellar population. In the standard picture, galaxies with intrinsically red stellar populations are believed to have old stellar ...
