THE ABUNDANCE OF HELIUM AND STELLAR PULSATION
Radial gradient of relative amplitude of the light variation FV for galactic classical Cepheids is found. The gradient has different signs for two cases: P > 8d and P < 8d. For P > 8d the gradient is negative.

Parameters and Pulsation Constant of Cepheid
The analysis of fifty empirical period-radius relations and forty-three empirical period-luminosity relations is performed for the Cepheids. It is found that most of these relations have significant systematic errors.

Asteroseismic Observations of Hot Subdwarfs
There are a number of reasons for studying hot subdwarf pulsation; the most obvious being that these stars remain a poorly understood late-stage of stellar evolution and knowledge of their interior structure, which pulsation studies reveal, constrains ...

Asteroseismology of Close Binary Stars: Tides and Mass Transfer
The study of stellar oscillations allows us to infer the properties of stellar interiors. Meanwhile, fundamental parameters such as mass and radius can be obtained by studying stars in binary systems. The synergy between binarity and asteroseismology can

Nonthermal X-Rays from Pulsation-driven Shocks in Cepheids
Rapid X-ray phase-dependent flux enhancement in the archetype classical Cepheid star δ Cep was observed by XMM-Newton and Chandra. We jointly analyze thermal and nonthermal components of the time-resolved X-ray spectra prior to, during, and after the ...

Simultaneous Time-monitoring Observations of H2O and SiO Masers toward the Supergiant VX Sagittarii
We performed simultaneous monitoring observations of the 22.2 GHz H _2 O and 43.1/42.8/86.2/129.3 GHz SiO masers toward the red supergiant VX Sagittarii using the Korean VLBI Network single-dish telescopes.

2D modelling of pulsating stars with rapid rotation
Rapid stellar rotation is an important phenomenon in stellar physics, particularly for massive and intermediate mass main-sequence stars. This affects all aspects of the star’s physics including its structure, evolution, and pulsations, and makes it ...
