Nanomaterials for Allergy Diagnosis and Treatment: Advances, Opportunities and Translational Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanomaterials offer dual applications in allergy management. For diagnosis, nanomaterials enhance analytical sensitivity and improve detection in specific IgE and functional assays such as the basophil activation test (BAT). For allergen‐specific immunotherapy, nanomaterials enable allergen masking and controlled release, and effectively modulate the ...

Intranasal Delivery of Gallium–Quercetin Nanoparticles for Multi‐Target Ferroptosis Inhibition in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Leveraging the chemical similarity between Ga3+ and Fe3+ as well as the antioxidant properties of quercetin, gallium–quercetin nanoparticles (GQNPs) were prepared to integrate iron homeostasis regulation, oxidative stress suppression, and mitochondrial protection for multi‐target ferroptosis inhibition in Parkinson's Disease.

How does stellate ganglion block alleviate immunologically-linked disorders?

open access: yes, 2020
BACKGROUND: The stellate ganglion is an autonomic nervous ganglion, formed by the fusion of the inferior cervical sympathetic ganglion and the first thoracic sympathetic ganglion, which is present in about 80% of people. It is anterior to the neck of the

Targeting CXCR2 in Nociceptive Sensory Neurons Offers Novel Therapeutic Potentials for Postoperative Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tissue incision induces CXCL5 release, which activates neuronal CXCR2 on incision‐innervating sensory neurons. Neuronal CXCR2 couples with TRPA1 to drive mechanical pain and engages p38 MAPK signaling to upregulate TRPV1 and promote heat pain. Targeted Cxcr2 knockdown relieves incisional pain while preserving CXCR2‐dependent neutrophil responses ...

Ultrasound-guided pulsed radiofrequency ablation of stellate ganglion in upper-extremity phantom limb pain: a case series [PDF]

open access: yesAnesthesia and Pain Medicine
Background Phantom limb pain (PLP) is the most common type of pain experienced by amputees and is chronic and complex, with manifestations including pain in a limb that no longer exists.

Persistence of pain induced by startle and forehead cooling after sympathetic blockade in patients with complex regional pain syndrome [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Background: Stimuli arousing sympathetic activity can increase ratings of clinical pain in patients with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). Objective: To determine whether the increase in pain is mediated by peripheral sympathetic activity.

ZBTB18 Dysfunction Promotes Neuropathic Pain via CHD4‐based Epigenetic Disinhibition of CLIC1 Channels in Sensory Neurons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we identify a novel functional role of ZBTB18 in regulating trigeminal‐mediated neuropathic pain. Nerve injury reduces ZBTB18 in trigeminal ganglion neurons, impairing CHD4/NuRD recruitment and de‐repressing Clic1. Elevated CLIC1 enhances chloride channel activity and neuronal hyperexcitability, thereby driving pain.

Application of low-frequency electricity and stellate ganglion block therapy to inferior alveolar neuroparalysis following tooth extraction : Evaluation of facial skin temperature elevations via thermography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
P(論文)Mentolabial paralysis occurs as a result of inferior alveolar nerve injury consequent to tooth extraction. Stellate ganglion block (SGB) therapy, acupuncture and magnetic electrotherapy (AME) are utilized for the treatment of neuroparalysis ...
