Design High-Directivity Parallel-Coupled Lines with Step-Impedance Transmission Lines

2008 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, 2007
This paper presents a novel technique to design high-directivity parallel-coupled lines using the step impedance transmission lines (SITLs) terminated at coupled and through ports of the parallel coupler. Two configurations based on the technique, singly- and doubly-SITLs compensation, are proposed.

Compact Wilkinson Power Divider Using Stepped Impedance Transmission Lines

Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, 2011
In this paper, a new idea is proposed in order to modify the conventional Wilkinson power dividers for size reduction. The proposed structures contain Step Impedance Transmission Lines (SITLs) instead of the uniform ones, with reduced length at the design frequency. The impedance ratio of SITLs is considered variable and written as the total electrical

Using Stepped-Impedance Lines for Common-Mode Noise Reduction on Bended Coupled Transmission Lines

IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology, 2016
Right-angle bended coupled lines with a periodic stepped-impedance line (SIL) structure are proposed to suppress both common-mode noise and differential-to-common mode conversion in this paper. The advantage of the periodic SIL structure shows that it is not only with lower manufacture cost and easier implemented in two-layer Printed Circuit Board (PCB)

Core and copper loss effects on the stepped impedance transmission line pulse generator

2016 IEEE International Power Modulator and High Voltage Conference (IPMHVC), 2016
The effect of core and copper losses on a novel magnetic compression based stepped impedance transmission line pulse generator circuit is presented. Design equations are derived and presented which take into account the current leakage into neighboring cells, losses due to magnetizing inductance currents, losses due to saturable cores and copper losses

Bended differential transmission lines using asymmetric stepped-impedance lines for common-mode noise suppression

2018 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility and 2018 IEEE Asia-Pacific Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC/APEMC), 2018
In this paper, a bended differential transmission lines using asymmetric stepped-impedance lines is proposed to eliminate differential-to-common mode conversion and common-mode noise. The bended differential transmission lines using asymmetric stepped-impedance lines can reduce the differential-to-common mode conversion from −29.8 dB to −41.4 dB and ...
