This paper presents a compact triple band bandpass filter on a microstrip line having one UWB and two narrow bands with a fractional bandwidth of about 12.85%, 30.38%, and 2.6% for use in 4G, WLAN and satellite communication. A new technique which involves embedding stepped impedance line (SIL) between the feed line and open stubs.

This paper presents the design of a size miniaturized and harmonic suppressed wideband double-section rat-race coupler (RRC). Series and shunt stepped-impedance transmission line units are proposed to replace the quarter wavelength transmission lines in the conventional design of wideband (50% fractional bandwidth) two-stage rat-race coupler.
