In the present chapter, the main types of energy conditioning systems will be summarily characterized, as well as energy storing devices and MPPT techniques. Raw electrical energy captured from the ambient sources is generally not suitable for direct usage to power electronic circuits. As such, this energy must be properly conditioned for practical use.

Development of High Voltage Multilevel Step-wave Voltage Source
2018 IEEE International Power Modulator and High Voltage Conference (IPMHVC), 2018With the development of energy Internet, the proportion of modular multilevel converter in the system further increases. High-voltage multilevel stepped waves become a typical waveform stressed on the related insulation. In order to study the insulation characteristics of equipment under multilevel stepped wave stress, it is necessary to develop a high-

A comparative study of two-step anodization with one-step anodization at constant voltage
Nanotechnology, 2022Abstract Two-step anodization has been widely used because it can produce highly self-organized anodic TiO2 nanotubes, but the differences in morphology and current-time curve of one-step anodization and two-step anodization are rarely reported. Here, one-step anodization and two-step anodization were conducted at different voltages.

There is a dangerous zone of step voltage in 6-35 kV power networks with an isolated neutral in the emergency mode caused by a ground fault about a point of damage. People and animals occurring in the step voltage area face a severe danger of electrical shock and even death.

Voltage-step transient on circular electrodes
Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 2011Using the well-known Cottrell asymptote, voltage-step transient (VST) experiments in a two-electrode cell may provide data on the bulk concentration and diffusion coefficient of a working depolarizer, essential for interpretation of liming-diffusion-current (LDC) experiments.

Accuracy considerations for capacitance estimation by voltage steps in cardiomyocytes
Progress in Biophysics and Molecular Biology, 2020Electrophysiologists routinely use simple voltage steps to evaluate cell membrane capacitance derived from corresponding current responses. Frequently, the resting membrane voltage Vrest is employed as holding potential for the subsequent command voltage step and more or less accurate methods are utilised to analyse the transient current.

A Microcomputer Control for Step-Voltage Regulators
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1985Advances in the state of the art applicable to electronic controls make possible continuing enhancements in these products. The use of microprocessor based digital techniques is the latest advance in a long continuing evolution of products dedicated to the control of step-voltage regulators or load tapchangers on transformers. The fundamental nature of

Detecting and Avoiding Step Voltage Hazards
IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2015Uncontrolled flow of electrical current in the earth may have a range of effects, from barely perceptible to dangerous electrical shocks, or unintended electrical heating resulting in fires. This paper promotes awareness of hazards from ground-potential rise and briefly describes the root causes of voltage in the ground. It is proven that the values of

A Thevenin equivalent approach for touch voltage and step voltage
2000This paper describes numerical algorithm for accurate computing of the touch voltage and step voltage. The algorithm is based on the Thevenin equivalent and grid model of the human's feet.It is practically to use this accurate approach only for some very important points on the earth surface because Thevenin equivalent circuit is valid only for a given
