Regulation of the voltage-insensitive step of HERG activation by extracellular pH

American Journal of Physiology-Heart and Circulatory Physiology, 2010
Human ether-à-go-go-related gene (HERG, Kv11.1, KCNH2) voltage-gated K+ channels dominate cardiac action potential repolarization. In addition, HERG channels play a role in neuronal and smooth cell excitability as well as cancer pathology. Extracellular pH (pHo) is modified during myocardial ischemia, inflammation, and respiratory alkalosis, so ...

Single-step voltage regulator Application

Electrical Engineering, 1951
THE DESIGN LIMITS of rural distribution circuits usually are determined by permissible voltage drop rather than the thermal limitations of the conductor. Presently overloaded circuits supplying power at inadequate voltage levels are the result of conservative estimates of load growth.

Optimization of Single, Double and Triple Voltage Dc to Dc Step down Voltage Regulators

2019 IEEE International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies (ICECCT), 2019
Switching voltage regulators are frequently used as power foundation of the IC circuit loads. To guarantee the voltage permanence switching type voltage regulators uses LC low pass filter in output terminal. Size of inductor and cost are two of main concerns in circuit designing, changing the input parameters like inductance capacitance and switching ...

Optimal Control and Placement of Step Voltage Regulator for Voltage Unbalance Improvement and Loss Minimization in Distribution System

2020 IEEE REGION 10 CONFERENCE (TENCON), 2020
This paper describes optimal voltage control and optimal placement of the three-phase individual step voltage regulator (3ϕSVR) considering voltage unbalance improvement. As a result of active efforts to promote renewable energy, there is a concern that voltage unbalance will increase due to an increase in distributed power sources.

Transformerless step up alternating voltage regulators with sinusoidal currents

International Conference and Seminar of Young Specialists on Micro/Nanotechnologies and Electron Devices, 2012
A new transformerless AC voltage regulators with a sinusoidal input and output currents and ability of voltage increasing are considered. The regulators can be used as the soft-starting devices for asynchronous motors. Results of mathematical modeling and analytical calculation of RMS values by fundamentals of the currents and voltage are given.

Controls for Step Voltage Regulators [includes discussion]

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers. Part III: Power Apparatus and Systems, 1955
A unique control circuit for step voltage regulators is described. An auxiliary relay with four pairs of contacts has been eliminated; this results in reduced maintenance and quiet operation. Full integrating time delay is obtained by means of a motor-driven time-delay relay operated directly by the contacts of the voltage-regulating relay. Sparking on

Coordination of distributed generation and step voltage regulator operations for improved distribution system voltage regulation

2006 IEEE Power Engineering Society General Meeting, 2006
This paper presents coordination of distributed generation (DG) and step voltage regulator (SVR) operations for improved distribution system voltage regulations. Examples include DG with induction and synchronous generators and SVRs with different control modes.

Application of step-dynamic voltage regulator to single-phase system

Proceedings. International Conference on Power System Technology, 2003
Dynamic behavior of network voltages are investigated when a step-dynamic voltage regulator (S-DVR) is applied to power systems in which heavy single-phase load is connected. The analysis is based on the design criterion of using the regulator to restore the load voltage magnitude back to its nominal value.

Multiphase voltage regulator module with transient step changing phases

PowerCon 2000. 2000 International Conference on Power System Technology. Proceedings (Cat. No.00EX409), 2002
The paper presents a new method to control multiphase DC-DC converters for supplying new generation microprocessors (VRM) requiring higher currents at lower voltages. These requirements are achieved by paralleling converter modules, and phase-shifting their drive signals (interleaving technique).
