Novel 9-Steps Automatic AC Voltage Regulator based on Two Step-down Transformers [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering (IJECE), 2017
<p class="IEEEAbtract">A novel design and simulation results of 9-steps automatic AC voltage regulator based on one step-down transformer is presented in this paper. Avoiding the problem of surge at the AC load during controlling jump steps is done through the proposed design. Accurate and smooth controlling function is achieved as well.

Impact of Japan's 2024 Physician Work‐Style Reform on Pediatric Hematology–Oncology: Educational Implications in a 2‐Year Survey

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Japan's 2024 physician work‐style reform introduced legally binding limits on physicians’ working hours, but its impact on education and workforce sustainability in pediatric hematology–oncology (PHO) remains unclear. Procedure We conducted a repeated cross‐sectional study with structured quantitative items and free‐text responses ...

REGULATORY CHARACTERISTICS OF THE STEP-DOWN SWITCHING REGULATOR WHICH CHARGES THE BATTERY FROM THE SOLAR BATTERY

open access: yesElectrical engineering & Electromechanics, 2020
Problem. An important element of autonomous power sources, built on the basis of solar batteries, is a battery, operating in a buffer mode. To extend the period of its use, it is necessary to ensure the appropriate modes of its charging and discharging ...

Serum Myonectin Levels Are Positively Associated With Physical Function and Lower Frailty‐Related Limitation in Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...

Real Time Performance Comparison of Buck Converter Circuit Controlled By Discrete Time PID, LQR and SMC Controllers in Continuous-Current Mode

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2019
In this study, a DC-DC buckconverter circuit which is used to get direct voltage by decreasing the sourcevoltage is researched. Firstly mathematical model for a DC-DC buck convertercircuit is obtained and critical inductance value is calculated to make ...

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
