Proceedings of the SIGCHI conference on Human factors in computing systems - CHI '95, 1995
Based on a review of the facts about human stereo vision, a case is made that the stereo processing mechanism is highly flexible. Stereopsis seems to provide only local additional depth information, rather than defining the overall 3D geometry of a perceived scene. New phenomenological and experimental evidence is presented to support this view.

Gaze computer interaction on stereo display
Proceedings of the 2006 ACM SIGCHI international conference on Advances in computer entertainment technology, 2006There are several researches on 2D gaze tracking techniques on the 2D screen. However, the researches for the gaze-based interaction to the stereo images or contents are not reported. This paper addresses gaze-based 3D interaction techniques on stereo display, such as parallax barrier display.

Correlelogram stereo display: computer simulations
Applied Optics, 1987Computer simulations are presented of a correlelogram stereo-display screen. First, an underlying physical model of the correlelogram is developed. A program for generating stereo pairs is then described. Next, the calculation of the layer transmissions for the correlelogram is discussed. Finally, several synthesized image pairs are presented.

Three-dimensional display: stereo and beyond
SPIE Proceedings, 2008With the advent of large, high-quality stereo display monitors and high-volume 3-D image acquisition sources, it is time to revisit the use of 3-D display for diagnostic radiology. Stereo displays may be goggled, or goggleless. Goggleless displays are called autostereographic displays. We concentrate on autostereographic technologies. Commercial LCD

Dynamic adjustment of stereo display parameters
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics - Part A: Systems and Humans, 1998This paper reports on an experimental approach to adjusting stereo parameters automatically and thereby providing a low eye strain, easily accommodated stereo view for computer graphics applications. To this end, the concept of virtual eye separation is defined.

Application of AM-OLED Micro-Display in Stereo Display System
Advanced Materials Research, 2014OLED micro-display is applied widely in the HMD stereo display field. Based on dual 0.5 inch 800×600 high resolution AM-OLED displays, we proposed a 3D circuit design scheme which used PCs VGA interface as video input, PIC18LF2550 as the MCU. According to the principle of the human eye binocular disparity, PC stereo video sources achieved odd frames ...

Photometric stereo using LCD displays
Image and Vision Computing, 2010This paper considers the problem of shape-from-shading using nearby extended light sources. The paper reviews a number of methods that employ nearby illuminants, and describes a new technique that assumes a rectangular planar nearby distributed uniform isotropic illuminant.

Vision based flight procedure stereo display system
SPIE Proceedings, 2007A virtual reality flight procedure vision system is introduced in this paper. The digital flight map database is established based on the Geographic Information System (GIS) and high definitions satellite remote sensing photos. The flight approaching area database is established through computer 3D modeling system and GIS.

Stereo depth‐fused 3D rendering for stacked stereo displays
Journal of the Society for Information DisplayAbstractWe propose a rendering method that enables the perception of 3D images at precise positions independent of the interocular distance of the observer by combining stacked stereo display and depth‐fused 3D (DFD) display and confirm its effectiveness through evaluation experiments.

A Hybrid Rendering Model in Stereo Display
2019 6th International Conference on Information Science and Control Engineering (ICISCE), 2019In a large-scale stereoscopic environment, the virtual objects are usually compressed into the 3D comfort zone, which results in the poor depth perception of a viewer. To get better depth perception, a hybrid rendering model is presented. The model uses a depth mapping method to provide maximum perceived depth in the region of interest without causing ...
