A Training Model for the Stereomicroscopic Evaluation of Flap Survival

Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery, 1987
The stereomicroscopic appearance of the vasculature and circulation of groin flaps, with their epigastric pedicles divided at various time intervals, is an early diagnostic indication of flap viability. A simple and comprehensive training model, with characteristic vascular and flow changes within a single flap, is provided in rats, with pedicles ...

An original stereomicroscopic analysis of the mammary glandular tree

Virchows Archiv A Pathological Anatomy and Histopathology, 1992
In the 1970s, Wellings developed and reported extensively on a technique for a three-dimensional (3D) analysis of breast lesions. Drawbacks of this subgross sampling technique were that it was laborious, rather time-consuming and only allowed prospective studies.

Stereopathy of the renal papilla: A stereomicroscopic autopsy study

Human Pathology, 1985
Routine examination of the renal papilla with a stereomicroscope in 372 autopsies revealed a number of unexpected findings, including linear scarring of the papilla and marked vascular dilation of papillary vessels in black patients with sickle hemoglobinopathies, the presence of small tumors, and the rarity of papillary necrosis of the type seen in ...

[Accommodation-convergence coupling using the stereomicroscope].

Fortschritte der Ophthalmologie : Zeitschrift der Deutschen Ophthalmologischen Gesellschaft, 1989
The term "instrument myopia" means an accommodative effort caused by the view into the microscope. This accommodation may be connected with the convergence position of the eye. Heterophoria should be developed if accommodation-induced convergence of the eyes does not harmonize with convergence of the ocular axes of a stereomicroscope.
