Incidence of pain flare in radiation treatment of bone metastases: A literature review
Purpose: Pain flare is a temporary increase in pain and is a potential side effect of radiotherapy treatment. However, its incidence has been reported only in recent studies, and with great variability.

The transporter‐associated BNCT strategy using BBCIP with or without BPA according to tumor transporter characteristics. BPA showed greater efficacy in LAT1‐dominant F98 glioma, whereas BBCIP was more effective in SMVT‐high CRL1666 tumors, suggesting the potential utility of transporter‐based boron carrier selection in BNCT.

Abstract Background Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer‐related deaths worldwide, largely due to late‐stage diagnosis. Lung cancer screening by computed tomography (CT) reduces mortality by detecting cancers earlier in high‐risk individuals, prompting Australia to launch the National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) in 2025.

Objectives Pulmonary carcinoma in dogs is commonly managed with surgical resection; however, the role of adjuvant chemotherapy for grade II and III carcinomas remains unclear. This retrospective multicentre study investigated the outcomes in dogs treated with vinorelbine‐based adjuvant treatment (as monotherapy or combined chemotherapy) following ...

Abstract figure legend Dose‐dependent effects of radiation on cardiac electrophysiology and arrhythmia susceptibility. At low radiation doses (left), increased reactive oxygen species (ROS) initiate an ROS–Ca2+ positive feedback loop involving calcium/calmodulin‐dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII) activation, enhanced L‐type Ca2+ current (ICaL ...

Sacral insufficiency fracture after stereotactic body radiation therapy for sacral metastasis
Key Clinical Message Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) allows the targeting of high doses of radiation with steep dose gradients. Vertebral fracture is increasingly recognized as an adverse event after SBRT; however, no sacral fractures have ...

An Overview of the Development of Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy
Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) refers to focusing high-energy rays in three-dimensional space on the tumor lesion area, reducing the dose received by surrounding normal tissues, which can effectively improve the local control rate of the tumor and reduce the probability of complications. With the comprehensive development of medical imaging,
