Stereotaxic Implantation for Small Animals: An “Eyelet” Technique

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1971
Frequently used methods of implanting electrodes in small animals include the use of small screws to anchor the unit in place, as well as the “wire-bridge” technique. Both of these methods had been used by present investigators and have been found useful. However, a number of animals were found unsatisfactory due to various problems.

Stereotaxic technique for transplantation of neural tissues in the brain of adult rats

Experientia, 1982
A technique of neural transplantation in the brains of adult animals, using stereotaxic apparatus, is described. It facilitates transplantation of neural tissues of small volumes in precisely defined structures of the host brain, and yields a high percentage of successful transplantations.

A stereotaxic atlas and technique for forebrain nuclei of the goldfish, Carassius auratus

Journal of Comparative Neurology, 1975
AbstractA stereotaxic apparatus and technique for electrode placement in forebrain nuclei of the goldfish is described. An atlas of forebrain nuclei is given. Some new nuclear regions are described and the nomenclature of several nuclei is discussed.

A stereotaxic atlas and technique for forebrain nuclei of the killifish, Fundulus heteroclitus

Journal of Comparative Neurology, 1975
AbstractA stereotaxic apparatus and technique for electrode placement in forebrain nuclei of the killifish, Fundulus heteroclitus, is described. An atlas of forebrain nuclei is given. A new nuclear region in the telencephalon is described.

Breast biopsy: a comparative study of stereotaxically guided core and excisional techniques.

American Journal of Roentgenology, 1994
The major objectives of this prospective study were to compare pathologic findings from stereotaxic core and excisional biopsies performed on patients with impalpable breast lesions and to compare the initial mammographic impression with the final histologic diagnosis. All patients referred for preoperative localization of impalpable breast lesions ...

Interstitial irradiation therapy of supratentorial gliomas by stereotaxic technique. Long term results

The Italian Journal of Neurological Sciences, 1988
We report the long term results of interstitial irradiation therapy in patients suffering from malignant supratentorial gliomas. The radioisotopes implanted by stereotaxic technique were Au198 grains in solid tumors and Y90 colloidal solution in a cystic tumor. The therapy was always well tolerated. Minimum survival time after implantation was 9 months,
