An analysis of the modified Dahl and Masing models: application to a belt tensioner [PDF]
The objective of this paper is to describe the modified Dahl and Masing models used for predicting hysteretic behavior, and tested on a belt tensioner for automotive engines. An experimental study with deflection imposed on the tensioner is first carried

Rapid Fabrication of Self‐Propelled and Steerable Magnetic Microcatheters for Precision Medicine
A rapid Joule heating fabrication method for the production of self‐propelling, adaptive microcatheters, with tunable stiffness and integrated microfluidic channels is presented. Demonstrated through three microrobotic designs, including a steerable guiding catheter, an untethered wave‐crawling TubeBot, and a distal‐end propelled microcatheter, it was ...

Dynamic models and analysis of key factors influencing stick–slip vibration in disc brake system
The stick–slip vibration of the disc brake system at low speed is caused by the interaction of multiple factors. This paper focuses on the disc brake system of the high-speed train as the research object, establishing three- and four-degree-of-freedom ...

Research on Evaluation Model of Stick-Slip Vibration Intensity Based on PCA-LSTM
Stick-slip vibration of downhole tools during petroleum drilling can lead to cyclic sticking and slip of the bits, which may cause failure of bits and bottomhole assembly(BHA)and consequently downhole accidents.Considering the latest downhole measurement ...

Investigation of Stick-Slip Vibration in a Commercial Vehicle Brake Assembly
No There are several types of disc brake instabilities associated with the brake systems; however, they are usually classified into two main categories depending on the frequency range: brake groan 0–300 Hz and brake squeal 1– 16 kHz. The groan is associated with the stick-slip motion while the squeal is associated with the modal coupling.
